Everyone who is selling this helmet has the incorrect photo from HJC. Unfortunately, no rear ventilation.

An update...with the visor open, this helmet whistles like crazy!!!!!! You gotta leave the visor down in the half or vent position. I need to get the tinted visor too, the HJC HJ-41 is the visor model number.

Okay, looking at this video at a shop that has a bunch of V10s on display, it looks like maybe the solids have no exhaust vents and the fancier designs do? It's weird, though, because the product photos show all of the helmets as having exhaust vents, and HJC's own preview video shows a guy riding around in a solid yellow helmet that has vents. I was about to write the same. They got some prototype for the video maybe? All the pictures show vents.

That is super weird! Looking at this right now, both their website on ALL variants, it has the vents, yet in this video they don't. Vents ARE also shown in all the colors on HJCs website, as well as their product marketing videos (the one with the gut wearing the yellow one). So I definitely think they DO in fact have vents. Thank God 🤣 ***EDIT - THE PLOT THICKENS!*** Looking on Instagram.. EVERY real life photo (which isn't many since these are super new), has NO vents. At first thought I was thinking maybe there are variations in the features for different countries, but I see both a dealer in Texas have them in stock.. no vents. And I see people in Korea have them.. no vents. WHAT THE EFF?!

Every seller got incorrect photos of the helmet. There is no rear ventilation. That's why the video reviews are helpful.

The HJ-41 visors are compatible with V10 helmet.

Hey Alex, We are expecting these shields to come in by SEP 23, looks like they are still on the way from HJC.

We anticipate many riders facing this same dilemma (V10 vs Covert FX). We agree in that it would have been nice to see 22.06 on this V10. We've reach out to HJC for comment on why that call was made as we know they'll have to deal with that when selling this model across the pond. Sometimes the hang up is a technicality that makes it difficult to thread the DOT & ECE needle at the same time. Stay tuned for more info soon. As for the comparison against Scorpion? Actual performance and feature set is very similar. HJC gets a slight advantage in the paint and overall quality department. Is it a $100 better...probably not but we do love the finish. When it come to extras, HJC is giving you pinlock out of the box, Scorpion kicks you the smoke shield, but no pinlock.

I am also in the same boat between these two helmets. Of the two, which is the favorite in the speed addicts office? Also, for the scorpion, I can not find a good picture of the gloss black. Is the paint decent? Would de-badging the scorpion logo cause any damage. Thank you.

@@enzoruscitto4030 the Speed Addicts team is very split on this one and the helmets are so closely matched. If we had to boil it down -> Scorpion is the clear winner for those watching their pocketbook. For those with cash to spare and who might appreciate a helmet that's a bit more polished or after a more juicy color (pearl great, gloss red, gloss yellow) than HJC will be the pick.

Yep hard choice. As far as wind noise have you guys had a chance to see how they both stack up? Would love a video of these two going head to head.

Noise will vary greatly depending the helmet fit, machine and windscreen. It’s common for riders give completely different feedback on this topic for the same exact helmet. For this reason we tend to stay away for commenting on noise unless the helmet is true outlier (very quiet or very loud). In our experience the number one cause of excessive wind noise is a helmet fitting too loosely. As such we recommend a snug fit out of the box, allowing for break-in of 10-15%. This all said we still encourage the Speed Addicts community to jump in here and share their personal take on this model.

While the Bell Bullitt is a great looking helmet, the skinny chin bar does not inspire our confidence when it comes to crash protection. We'd take the V10 in that comparison. How’s the wind noise for it?

@@guillermobanosflores7331 with the visor closed it's really good. However, if you enjoy riding with the visor open at speeds over 80km/hr (50mph) like I do, there is a pretty loud whistling noise... If you tilt your head down though, it goes away. With that said, I ride a triumph speed four and tend to sit a little more upright than a crotch rocket but not as far back as a dual sport.

@@greygremlin9747 yeah I drive a Honda shadow 750 and usually about about 80 mph, upright for the most part. And always have the visor shut. Which is why I asked lol

Try searching for HJ-41 visor.

I'm not sure. Only familiar with the US sizing.

They've got deep green, deep yellow, and deep red. And the usual suspects black, matte black, and white.

They're also selling the Nardo Gray in Korea as well, which I'm sure they will also sell overseas.

We recommend this helmet for everyday street use. For touring, maybe not so much due to the lack of ventilation.

We found this helmet to run true to size according to the HJC sizing chart.

Different countries get different models and sometimes it’s different ratings.

Unfortunately, it is DOT only in the US.
