The Desert Eagle of machine guns. Round way too big for the gun, completely impractical, too disorienting and uncontrollable for the average person to be effective, but the most fun you can have with your pants on. bless the HK51
The Deagle is actually pretty controllable... because it's got the weight - and ergonomics - of a brick. Good thing you hold pistols way out in front of you though, cause the muzzle blast would give you a traumatic brain injury otherwise
@@rdrrr I didn’t mean uncontrollable, the grip on the Desert Eagle is so fat it’s impossible to get a solid grip on the thing, and it genuinely is unpleasant to fire because it feels like it wants to jump out of your hand
@@kefpull6676 The german military never used these. I can promise you that the stodgy ass officers in the Bundeswehr would throw you out of the service and try you in court for hacking up a G3 and some MP5 parts without permission.
@@jack99889988 right and Ian is an experienced shooter. Watch the video of him shooting the M14. He explains how the world around him turns into a blur. No such complaints for the HK here.
Every time somebody says the G3 kicks too hard compared to other 7.62/308 rifles, I show them this video and then show em videos of M14s or FALs in full auto. Night and day difference. Roller delayed actions are superior and I will die on that hill
The German military certainly thought so - they were developing the roller-delayed StG-45(M) as a replacement for the gas-operated StG-44. They lost the war before the new rifle could go into production but when the prototypes were captured by the Allies they were developed further into the CETME rifle which eventually became the G3.
Perfect Home defense Weapon. Even if you totally miss the bad guy he will remove himself from your home as fast as he can. Also the bad guy will most likely be deaf from now on 🤣
