HKS supercharger installed on my 2016 Toyota Highlander 2GR-FE. Yea baby! 

I also have a 2016 highlander, its nice to see that somebody has figured out a way to show these vehicles some love! I have searched and searched for parts. Its like freakin mission impossible! I also installed the bilstein b6 shocks and struts but I got some custom springs made and they are way too stiff, Its nice to not have to brake for some curves because the truck doesn't have any near as much body roll as it did stock however I feel every ripple in the road now🙄. Im enjoying the channel dude thanks for posting!!!

HorseGestapo u/HorseGestapo Mar 11, 2019 • Edited 1y ago If the gas cap is sealing properly then the next thing I would look at is the charcoal canister and any connecting vac lines for cracks. I'd also test the solenoid valve and make sure it is operating properly. There isn't much to that system so should be easy to narrow down. You could try to smoke or pressure test and listen for leaks as well.

You need a shroud for that air intake. Your car is breathing in 200 degree air, but with a plastic shroud and a duct to the front grill, a short ram intake is useless. If you look at time attack cars, most of them have a stock style airbox so the engine isnt breathing in hot air from the block and headers. Gotta be smart about it

How has this drivetrain held up to the abuse?

I want to install one of these in my '09 sienna so bad! I joined that facebook group you told me about. I gotta figure out the hydraulic power steering solution and convince myself that I should drop 3k on a supercharger lol! In regard to your issue with the purge code- I wonder if this is happening because the purge solenoid is seeing boost/positive pressure when you rev the engine up high. The purge system isn't designed to see positive manifold pressure. Please share what you learn about this. This is another area of concern with putting this kit on my sienna- I have to do it without setting check engine light so I can still pass smog inspection. I think installing the one-way check valve in the evap solenoid vacuum line may fix this. Make sure you put the valve facing the proper direction.

I have a Toyota Blade Master which has the 2GR-FE. It already does 5.2 seconds to 60mph NA. I wonder how fast it would be with a super charger :O One thing I do know.. I 100% need an exhaust on mine. It has a Modellista exhaust which is louder than the standerd one, but still makes the V6 sounds like a 4 cylinder with no load on it. Yours sounds lovely.

Man that's nice! My son drives my wife's old 2008 Highlander Sport 4WD and he's always saying "let's put a supercharger on it". I'm always like "LOL". That looks like a hoot to drive! I do have one question - at 1:00 it looks like you're missing the right bushing on the rear diff mount. Ours are shot AF and I've been thinking it's time (240K miles!) to press out the old ones and press in new ones. Did you lose one?? I'm so curious. There must be a tremendous amount of play in the rear diff.

I just looked up your 2016 and my 2022 hp and torque..looks like mine has 295hp and 263lbs torque vrs your 270hp n 248lbs of torque..is the difference just the direct injection? Do you think I'd see any gains with this kit if I can still find it. ? And I was always taught 12.5 afr is max hp? Or do you just want more for safety?
