A walk from Caledonian Rd Tube station to HM PENTONVILLE prison.
HM Pentonville prison is an English Category B men’s prison, operated by Her Majesty’s Prison Service.
Pentonville Prison is not in Pentonville, but is located further north, on the Caledonian Road in the Barnsbury area of the London Borough of Islington, north London N7.
Prison capacity is 1,256 and was opened in 1842.

I lived hear 67 years ago, from the age of 6 months, to the age of 10.I remember waiting for my Dad to come out of work, at the prison gates,I attended st. Clements school with my brother, my mum worked at a place called Deckers on caladoner road.we moved to Hindle borstal when I was 10.

I used to work across the road from there. There was a greasy cafe on the main road called 'The Break Out' :o)

Notable former inmates. 1866: John Boyle O'Reilly (1844-1890), Irish activist and poet, spent 3 days in Pentonville before being transported to Millbank. 1879: Charles Peace (1832-1879), notorious burglar and murderer. 1895: Oscar Wilde spent time in Pentonville before being transferred to Wandsworth.
