Nice video,1st thing I do before I start to work on my bikes is to have bowl with a bit of fuel for the bolts so I don't have to search for them I highly recommend it
Also enjoy watching your videos. I have same raptor and I tried your fuel optimizer but went with the power commander V(5) instead and it’s so much better power wise and torque throughout the different gears especially (2-4)
You should have a Yoshimura pipe on that. I have a 2014 Lt Z400 and the Yoshimura pipe on the Z, compared to my buddies z400 that has a Hmf full system pipe sounds like crap compared to my Yoshimura slip on on my 2014 z400. My bike sounds 10,000 times better than his cause he got a Hmf on a Suzuki 😬🤦🏾♂️. I have the Hmf performance pipe on my 2012 kfx 450r (Hmf pipe came on the Quad already Brand New when I purchased the '12 kfx 450R) with the optimizer and a FCI Air Box and it doesn't sound anywhere near as good as my Suzuki with the Yoshimura slip on with no programmers just open lid on airbox. I want the full Yoshimura for my '12 kfx 450r, but kinda stuck with the Hmf as I just spent over $2,500 recently after I bought the '12 Kfx 450R for $3,500)but I spent $2,500 on Hiper Tech3 Beadlocks, (6 New Hiper Rings Blue n Green), Brand New Razr2's, Hmf Optimizer and a few other parts like blue levers, gas cap, brake block off, oil filter cap, rad hoses, blue nerf nets, blue green oury grips, Accerbis bark busters(black with green letters) and a few other small parts.. I'm done spending for a while lol, atleast till new shocks, A arms, and a Durablue axle. But I'm 100% for sure that I know it will sound so much better than the Hmf I have on the kfx now. I only run Hmf on Hondas where they belong. Imo, Yoshimura is personally made just for Suzuki and Kawasaki.... Hmf is made for Honda Trx 400s/450r. Hmf sounds the best on Hondas hands down just like Yoshimura sounds incredible on Kawasaki and Suzuki hands down. To each their owm tho. This is just a reccomendation from current experience and past.
@@juststatingfacts01 that's nice to know! but I guarantee you'll loose every race against me! Lol ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3-bvcnnZ_xQ.html
@@juststatingfacts01 hey I had those hiper tech 3’s on my 450r and the metal inserts that the bolts on the beadlock thread into spun in the plastic due to corrosion. Hiper has terrible customer service from my point of view and never got me back. Please put never seize on the bolts so you don’t have this problem down the road I beg you!
That was ALOT of plastics removal for sure. Not sure this optimization of fuel change worth it in basically stock form. Im goin w/ just a Yoshimura slip on exhaust AND better air intake kit! Thats it folks. Nothin else in small mods worth it. '21 Raptor 700R-SE.
Hey how’s the tune optimizer holding up for you? Was it a good buy? I’m looking to get one for my 2016 Yfz 450 but I’m not sure if I should get the HMF Optimizer or the Dynojet Power Commander
Hey nice video. I have the HMF optimizer. I’ve connected the ground wire to my battery’s negative post and screwed it down. The optimizer won’t turn on. Is it because I have to connect it to a better ground. But it looks like you connected to the battery post.
Right by the fuel injection plug is 2 bolts.into the frame. Unscrew one and ground it str8 to the frame with that other bolt that is there factory for a ground point. Use dielectric grease as well on the plugs insides and on the metal screw your grounding. Trust me.
Hey brother, nice raptor! So I'm buying this same setup up the air filter, and the hmf exhaust but I'm doing the full one not slip on. Did you have to adjust the optimizer at all and if so what are you running at? Just dont want any problems as I'm not super mechanically inclined. Hope to hear from ya soon. Happy riding!
Isaac hey thanks awesome choices .. if it’s an hmf optimizer it’s pre programmed so you don’t need to even worry just install if it’s another optimizer download the mapping of the exhaust and bike to input the ratios
Hi . I got 2013 raptor 700r . And I buy this hmf optimizer. But I don't know how to tuning. And I put k and n filter and hmf exhaust. It whole by so much help if u chow how to tuning thank you...
atvchamp12345 with an exhaust I believe it’s best to run an optimiser to get the best performance because you don’t want the bike to run too lean or too rich. It should be just right
That optimizer is meant to be ran with NO AIR BOX LID EVEN IF U HAVE A FCI STIL NOOOOO AIR BOX LID FOR THE TOP PERFORMANCE. IT'S ON THE PACKAGE IN THE INSTALLATION MANUAL TO RUN THIS SPECIFIC HMF PROGRAMMER WITH NO LID.
@@marcorivas8514 yes! The instru6will explain that exact thing. Just says it's programmed to be ran with no lid to the factory Air box. Even the fci air box run no lid but you get tci e the air with the wider fci wind tunnel.
Sorry. I know this is 11 months old. But do you think the hmf optimizer would work just fine with my yoshimura pipe? Yes right? Because all it does is add more fuel huh?
Where did you find those decal sticker numbers you have for the raptor? Been looking for stickers like those and can’t find them. If you could let me know thanks
Yoshimura is best exhaust slip on . Forget the whole exhaust! Save ur $ for the Yamaha GYTR air filter upgrade kit. He added it. I did too! I have YFZ450X & new '21 Rapter 700R-SE.
AKThrottle907 it’s s simple bolt on and you won’t need to do any tuning it programs to your bike on its own and Incase you want to tune it’s so easy on the hmf website the video walks you through it
Brandon Bowen id start at the battery and check everything, pull all the connectors and check for corrosion , moisture ect , it is also possible you may have pinched a wire coming off the optimizer.
man i love the video… i love how long you take to get to the fucking point i mean seriously this should’ve been a 5-7 minute video what a waste of oxygen and sperm. thumbs up from me! 👍🏼
