Nkrumah broke up from them because at their meeting the leaders decided self government gradually which Nkrumah opposed and said NO self government NOW and the whites must leave ! don't forget he was fighting against the whites suppression in America and moved to the UK so he didn't like the west colonizing Africa hence he was against allowing the white people to stay after independence which the rest of the UGCC also disagreed that our people were uneducated and we needed the whites to stay and help us build our new nation Nkrumah said NO THEY MUST LEAVE ! There was disagreement and he formed his party the Convention people's party from the UGCC UNITED GOLD COAST CONVENTION !
