the Kenai river and the rivers in Bristol bay can ruin you because both have nice sized fish with both having large rainbow trout, then dolly varden, which I see some saying arctic char for Bristol bay but I do know that some get dolly varden and arctic char mixed up but they both have salmon that can make your arm feel like it will drop off when you are fishing when the fish are there in good numbers. I do know that Bristol bay has times where all 5 Pacific salmon are in at the same time, so that is different than other places. The ruining part, I met some that said now that they experienced the fish here, it will never be the same for them fishing back home but I suspect as fishermen/women, they would still get out to enjoy time out on the water.
Nice video my Hmong brother. Thanks for sharing it. Planning to come up there to fish at the river. I wonder when what month is the good time to fish for king, silvers, and sockeye? Thanks in advance.
Thank you! Kings are in season- May to June Sockeye- end of May to early august Kenai river will be best in my opinion. Middle July is best Slivers - august Send me a message when you do come. Things changes all the time and I’ll get intel to see where you can get on fish.
