My visit to the Hmong International Market on Como Avenue in St. Paul, MN on May 18, 2013. I prefer this Hmong Market over Hmong Village because there's more fresh veggies and the farmer's market has more variety. I can never find good parking at Hmong Village so it is a big hassle to drive over to that market. Hmong International Market always seems to have fresher veggies which is an important factor for me when I visit.
Hmong International Market on Como Ave
- great selection of fresh produce, herbs, plants
- love their nab vam, bubble tea, papaya salad
- like their selections in custom made hmong clothes and hmong clothes
- like the indoor and outdoor shops
Hmong Village by Phalen Lake
- newer building
- more shops
- bad food vending area, every time I eat here I get sick or I get spoiled food, I've tried all the food vendors here. It's a hit or miss with food there.
- bad parking, you literally have to be a parking shark to get a spot

I would love to go there soon! I think my sister lives like walking distance from it. It's been 6 years since I went to MN and where I grew up no one knows about Hmong people so the environment is very interesting to me. All the food looks sooooooo good!!!!! I'll be back one day to eat everything!!! Lol...

It looks like heaven, Miss Annie. Southeast Asian cuisines are my absolute favorite! Some of those hot dishes has my mouth watering. Blessings, my friend! Michael

Not sure what you are trying to accuse me of being a liar. I don't live in MN and when I do visit, the herbs are not available at Hmong Village.

I like fresh veggies so I go where I have more selection. I do visit Hmong Village too but their parking is very bad and all the food vendors I have been disappointed. I've had so much bad food experiences at Hmong Village I no longer bother buying food from there.

Hmong village has too many food venders, yet it's easier to find more variety when you go to Hmong Village. Still, I went to Hmong Town for the first time in 5 years and it hasn't changed one bit.

I still love Hmong Village more! Because it's more clean and because my uncle's own the place.

Sometimes I wish I lived in Minnesota, then again, maybe our Hmong people in PA should open up their own market here locally.

Hope you can give them some suggestions to improve their parking and have their food quality checks. I've eaten there over 10 times and all ten times I've gotten really sucky hmong food. I stopped going to hmong village because of this very reason. Thanks.

The Hmong village has expanded their parking. The person I go to for their Pho has now moved out and looking for a new location in Saint Paul. I'm keeping a eye out for "2 wives kitchen". This is the place that has the awesome food. They moved out because they were located in the corner and was not getting enough business.

PA cool I got a brother that lives in Allentown, I think Lehigh valley or something. Didn't know there were more hmong. I believed he once said he met a few Hmong L.D.S but that was it. How many families or is it a bunch?

Hmong Village has its pros and cons. It is more modern feeling and cleaner than Comos. Cons in my opinion include the countless tenants selling the same products food and other. This will only hurt the tenants and won't contribute to their success. If they modeled their establishment like the American shopping malls then theyd do better. With the exception of a few creative tenants they are offering the same things. You can see some businesses have closed also.

MN is great but California is better. California has the best fresh veggies year round and also the price is much cheaper.

Hey you said you couldn't get the herbs for the chicken soup but you frequent these establishments, unless you life on an island and just visit occasionally. Good cook but terrible liar. LOL.

Your uncle and partners need to put forth a better business plan. They need bigger anchor stores to draw the little ones in. Vacant spots arent attractive to customers. He should market towards other races also. Especially the hispanic or somali community which is growing in minnesota and call the place International Market/World Village. That way it receives a broader target market. More walks of life more money spent. Somebody let the owners know before this places bankrupts.
