A sea drills diorama featuring the Airfix 1/600 scale model of the HMS Fearless.
This was my first time making a sea diorama, and my camera also decided to rid itself of a load of my footage - so its a pretty barebones video but I enjoyed the output so thought id share!
You can find the HMS Fearless, and loads of other awesome Airfix kits (Vintage and new!) here - hornbyhob.prf....
Also, for the extra detail kits these are what I used;
ATEM 60012 Hms Fearless detail set (Atlantic Models) - atlanticmodels...
HMS Fearless upgrade set (Starling Models) - starling-model...

I was able to go on a channel hopping voyage in her in early 83 from Devonport (transported in a landing craft) to Portsmouth as my Sea Cadet unit TS Fearless was affiliated with her

Very impressive given the age of this kit. I recall seeing its sister ship, HMS Intrepid, in Portsmouth Harbour in 2006 when it was being prepared for scrap.

That turned out really nice ! In fact it has inspired me to get this kit too and do something similar. Considering it's your first time trying a sea diorama, I think it turned out bloody well, that's not to say there isn't room for improvement, but that will come with experience, but you are well on your way to getting top notch wet stuff Dioramas ! Well done.

Thanks for the feedback, definitely room for improvement but appreciate the kind words! I would say it’s not a perfect kit as it’s an old mould, but its very cheap and with the extra accessories etc definitely worth it (and it’s a classic RN Ship too!). Keen to see how yours turns out!

That is superb. Sea dioramas are the hardest in my humble opinion, so an even bigger thumbs up as it's your first. I'll stick to aeroplanes and tanks. Much easier!
