HNPW 2023: Challenges and Opportunities for Advancing Data Responsibility in Cash Assistance 

As digital tools have become more central in the delivery of cash and voucher assistance (CVA), humanitarian organizations, financial service providers and other stakeholders gather, store, use and share increasingly large volumes of data. However, gaps remain between global frameworks for data responsibility and their practical application in cash programming. This HNPW 2023 session aimed to catalyze action around filling these gaps by offering an overview of the common data-related benefits and risks encountered by cash actors and highlighting different strategies for safe, ethical, and effective data management in the delivery of cash programmes.
