Check out my newer stuff, greatly improved since then www.youtube.co... Something I put together, enjoy! Can't believe this has so many views, thanks everyone! Be sure to check out my newer stuff :).
kanto and johto are supposed to be japan with mount fuji or in the game mount silver. hoenn is supposed to be a Japanese island Kyushu or hoenn also greatly represents Australia with its volcano Mawson Peak. sinnoh represents hokkaido islands and also has its similarities to The United kingdom. unova Represents the United States new york and parts of new Jersey. Kalos (quite obvious) Represents France. And finally the newest region alola is based off of Hawaii.
I like how under almost every video connected to Ho-Oh and/or Lugia, people have to argue about which one of them is better. Like we couldn't just say that they're both badass.
OminousWind97 I will secretly tell you, that I've never got Lugia in my game and Ho-Oh is one of my main partners in HeartGold, so yes. For me, he is more graceful.
Attack : Ho-Oh-Espeon Defense : Lugia-Umbreon It's really how you play them they're all graceful Johto types. My Umbreon has a wicked combo using toxic wish and protect.
Ho-oh is inspired by the Hōō, the asian Phoenix. Lugia is inspired by Ryūjin, the water Dragon What i'm trying to say is if Ho-oh have a japanese styled theme, Lugia shouldn't had a theme too?
ThePersonaWeeb FINALLY someone gets the lore behind them. That’s honestly where the Gold and Silver came from as well what with Ginkakuji and Kinkakuji Temples.
@@MichaelNoMyers I agree with that, but apparently because he was a dragon they wanted him to be super powerful and at the time psychic was the most powerful type or something like that
ben yeah you’re right. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think dragon wasn’t as big as it is now either. In some games I don’t even think they had dragon type
@@ben-ph7fi But Water and Dragon only had one weakness at that time, there was no fairy to screw lugia over. Think of it like Kingdra. With the water typing making him not weak to ice lugia would have only had one weakness.
Except for in that weird short where they fought for like three seconds. But though they don't necessarily interact much, Ho-oh and Lugia are often surrounded by conflict and end up resolving it themselves, which to me establishes them as peacemakers.
Ho-oh being a Rainbow Pokemon is heavily reliant on the Sun for power. Lugia is the Pokemon that controls the Tides: much like the Moon. Gen 4 remakes were originally going to be called "Golden Sun" and "Silver Moon," but the former is a copyrighted game.
@@spindash64 i fucking hate that jolteon, that stupid double teaming piece of shit is the reason why i havent attempted a nuzlocke in heartgold or soulsilver, why is double team so good when someone else uses it?!
While this song is naturally Japanese in origin, most sources seem to indicate that Ho-Oh actually is based off of a Chinese bird deity (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fenghuang). Ho-Oh's Japanese name is phonetically identical to their name for Fenghuang as well -- ホウオウ/鳳凰(ほうおう).
I'm really surprised this is getting the most views on my channel. It's pretty low compared to my newer stuff. I don't use plain old MIDI anymore. If you liked this, you'd love my newest stuff. Check out my channel!
I actually started crying softly... This brings back memories of 2010-2014 when I would play Pokémon Heart Gold non-stop, even clocking the in-game save file at over 980+ hours... ...Maybe I should trade all my most precious Pokémon over to Platinum when I can, and erase the file to start anew and relive those memories.
holy s**t i want that picture. my mom hates pokemon so i'd love showing her that pic and she'd be like "nice traditional japanese painting, shows its culture, etc." and then i'd say "it's pokemon" and she'd be like O.O
I actually have a much better version now, even more so than my updated one in the link. Utilizing the oriental percussion from the game itself. It's also cleaner and better mixed.
I hated, well, not hated, but didn't like this version so much (H/SS) but holy fuck, this whole scene was the best thing to come out of generation IV, Ho-oh is my fave legendary
@DaMagician91 Limited by weak MIDI soundfonts can do that. I have a better one using MIDI and it is a bit more powerful, and it also uses the HG/SS asian percussion soundfonts with creative's default midi soundfont (that came with my old audigy 2).
