I think my wife would be pissed if I used up all her small boxes of matches for my RR. Great tip as I get a lot of RR supplies from the dollar store. If you want some good weathering powder, just buy some small plastic cases of makeup that women use. You can find just about any color you want and it sticks a lot better than weathering powders. I also use florist wire for making trees, etc. I use coffee stirrers for piping and they are usually black. Smaller pipes are more in HO gauge. Also when we burn incense I save the little sticks that are left over and they are pretty much HO gauge. Cheers from eastern TN

Cheap easy pipe load. I can't take credit for the idea though. Pileofiron RU-vid channel gets the glory for this one. Really great idea for a load.

Are those balloon holders stiffer than a drinking straw? If they're what I'm thinking of then I think they are. They look like they work really good for pipes. Can you see that the inside is a different color when looking at the ends of the stacks? I was wondering if they'd need painting a little ways in on the end. That tape looks really good for metal bands. Stay well. -Wil 👍

Agreed. Definitely must paint inside the pipe. Although I have no idea what color . Have any suggestions ?

@@ModelingSteelinHO I'd say the same as the outside or black. I've put in green colored sewer pipe before and they're the same color inside. I think it would look ok to paint the inside the same as the outside on any color of pipe. You'd only need to go so far in since it gets dark so far in and can't see the color unless you look in with a light and I don't think anyone is gonna be checking with a flashligh to see if you detailed the color correctly all the way through the pipe. I know some rivet counters but I don't think anyone would be that bad. If someone was that bad they'd loose their minds looking at stuff I've done. I'm like you, if it's close enough to get the point across it's good enough, but there are some things that I go a little farther on, like the inside of the pipe; just to make it look right when its something I'd think would be very noticeable.

@@ModelingSteelinHO I seen in another comment you said you couldn't take credit for the idea. What was the name of the channel you got the idea from? I looked up Pileofiron and all I got was a tractor channel. Would you clarify the channel name please sir or provide a link. I like finding model railroading channels I've not looked at before. Thanks.
