Cool setup you have, track is amazing, room is amazing, your home is probably amazing, looks like a view to die for!! You are so lucky, good for you!! Cars are incredible, you need to get the AFX DODGE VAN, !!
Just starting the hobby now, bought the Super Cars set from AFX. I watched your whole video, and it was a real eye opener !! I used to have a set when I was a kid, now I'm an old kid. The cars have gotten way faster , and better, it seems !
WOW! What a collection of slot cars. That track...I'll bet that took a lot of work. I got an Aurora Model Motoring "Stirling Moss" race set back in the early 1960's. I can't remember the cars that came with it, but I remember the cars had the Vibrator motors.
@@alejandromonge5193 not really, I would first put it together on a smooth surface so you can move the track pieces around to get them all to fit. After it sits in place for a short while the it can come apart and go back together very easy.
I took the magnets out of my cars which were slower and a bit more realistic old 70's AFX engines and chassis as well as early 80's models. It forced you to drive more carefully and it definitely drove more realistic with rear kicking out during take off or acceleration after a curve. I compensated drive action with tiny weights and silicone tires for racing or harder rubber tires for more realistic looking take offs and curves. Later,i made handmade painted bodies from bits of heavy tinfoil and thin balsa wood glued together lightly for body damage and debris incase of severe crashes. (Tiny screw driver or small tool to push dents back out) I added head and rear lights and a 75 foot straightway so I could also drag race. Ahhh...such a fun hobby and relaxing way to pass time. You have a great layout, track and beautiful car collection! Absolutely love the woodwork in your home!
looks like you have a beautiful house and a sweet set up for your slot cars Chris.... love your Can-Am collection.... the whole set up is awesome.... 👍👍
Nice little santcuary you got there Chris , just right for that neat race track loft ..lol and oh yeah what a spoiled little you know what that got a jag xke coupe to go to college .. hey ican say i had one too but in a model..
Awesome collection and track, and I love your Slot Car room! Nice and spacious, I wish I had the room to stretch out a bit like that, but I'm thankful for what I do have. Enjoy!! Dennis
man nice collection.i have a. bunch ove cars also but not like yours.but my car's are all put away.but they need restored.even my track cleaner.but I still have my first ho racing set.that I got back in 1966.all put away.but I live in north east Ohio.
Nice video, beautiful collection. An FYI, you may already be aware. Those AFX racemasters have delicate plastics tabs that hold the bodies on. My GT40 crashed and it broke the clip. Now I have fixed it, but these things are so fast, you wreck and those clips can easily break. Love the speed of them though! Love your channel!
Really cool layout. Looks like a fun lap for sure! On your doing the work on the track point (yes I watched that far and not just 15 minutes 😂), there’s really a lot you can do with the actual track to smooth it out, improve conductivity, and get rid of the “clicks”, which in turn will make the cars run better and more consistent with less wear on the pick up shoes especially. Very cool though…congrats!
Love that track layout & all of those sweet classic street & race cars ! Keep updating the infield and everything on & off track it will really make racecourse come alive 🙂 You should work a pitlane into the off-track layout, thank you for the video👍
Wow that’s awesome, just found your channel I did subscribe, I’ll be following for more. My brother was into the slot cars back in the 60s and 70s, I’m into the remote control RC cars 1/10 scale and now the 1/24 scale Great Hobby. Appreciate you sharing I will be following
Spoilt brat is right. I married one too. Awesome track in an awesome room. I bought a track with the same yellow Lamborghini. I still, 35 years later, still have the car and track. Actually, I have about 250’ of track with the HO scale RR crossing to match. That piece of track was hard to find. Mm
Love your house in the mountains and woods and love your room, definitely beats my garage! I am not an Autoworld fan at all, the few cars I have from them just run horrible, I stick with mostly all versions of AFX myself.
I'm looking for an Orange Meyers Manx dune buggy with white top and craiger rims. I used to know a guy who used to customize the HO blanks. He would never falter. If you gave him a 72 vette stingray picture, the ho version would be identical. A perfect replica of the picture he was given.
Man your wife JAG freakin FLIES, WOW. AWESOME. I just found your channel, a little advice, try and PAN much slower when filming, if not people will get dizzy. Love this track and your beautiful collection. Makes me want to start an AFX TRACK. Thank you for such a cool VIDEO.
Terrific video Chris you definitely have become a collector I agree with what you said about Auto World their quality control is absolutely terrible it's pretty bad I've had a few issue with their products but they make it right I've had a few different occasions where a brand new Auto World chassis would literally burn up after a few laps you could smell the thing literally cooking as it was going around the track now as always prior to running Auto World cars the chassis I take apart and clean thoroughly and give them a light oiling where needed and off we go anyway on a few different occasions I called direct to Auto World store in Indiana and let them know of the problem and they would send out a new chassis I would usually receive it in around 2 to 3 weeks so the good news is at least my experience Auto World back their products
Hello Chris, my apologies I f got the name wrong. I have a collection of cars myself, you have more than I do. Getting to the point of messaging you is that I found mega g plus chassis will fit under a Tyco Lamborghini body very nicely and tight. Thought I would share this with you. Check it out, let me know what you think. My name is Joe I live in Detroit, Mi. Enjoy your videos, nice set up with your track.
