I would've called a tie in the first round, and second I'd give to ice-e. I really wished ice-e gave hoan space to dance instead of trying to get in the way in the second round. I felt like that was a bit disrespectful since hoan didn't do that to him. If someone gives you the floor uninterrupted, you should do the same in return.
I can tell you are not dancer. You wanna be dancer but i dont think u know anything about dance. Firstable u can dance thru some rounds that's why it's called dance battle. The fact you said first round could have been tie makes u weird asf
Yes bro because icee know I will lose therefore they start doing dance and because opponent goes lose their power but hoan is a great dancer and he knows everything.
yeah not only does it not sound like a popping track, he doesnt seem to know it. thats the all styles for ya tho ^^ part of the fun. I agree tho 1st round was hoan, 2nd icee, this was a tie.
This is the difference between individual sounds versus rhythms. Im not saying Hoan had no rhythm, but he was hitting the beats in order, like how a producer would produce the sound. From 0:59 - 1:10 was a re-arrangement of the default rhythm. From 1:16 - 1:23 it was interesting how he combined the melodies, bass, and the drums in single moves. I felt this honestly should have gone to one more round though, neither of them made it clear for me
apologizes for not being able to speak very well English hope and I understand, Hoan is dancing a song of hip hop when he's popping dancer and his style and way I dance the song very well and in my opinion Hoan win certainly am not dancer but my passion is dance in spectator mode and not only know about hip hop, I know about all dance.
Hip-hop style is a bit more free and looks less rigid than popping, but hitting beats is no easy task. I'm not a hip-hop style enthusiast but Ice-e knows what he's doing for sure. Hoan kinda fell a little short in the second song mainly because it is a complicated beat to pop to (the song goes all over the place). I felt a tie-breaker would of been good.
Hoan should have got that tbh icee always interrupts dancers and try to take attention away from them that's a dirty tactics if u ask me and I think strong rules should be made against that
ice-e is fun to watch but I do not understand how can shuffle, shuffle, 360 turn, glide, glide, 180 turn, shuffle... can beat one of top ten popping dancers
@@djshumon constantly moving isn't a flow , hoans musicality was wayyy better, ice-e dance could be replayed with any music as he didn't follow it , where as hoan hit every beat of that song
Hoan is just doin technic whereas ICEE can step any direction with technical skill and groove, very few are able to master ...sorry but ICEE is the KING !!!!

Its unfair but its true (im not saying every hiphop judge but when theres a tie most of the time they will go with their own style)

The French are as easily impressed with musicality on its own. It's a given. What they care more about is mixing that musicality with a constant flow, which is much more difficult.
If all you see is beatkill ingredients from Hoan then you should learn what popping fundamentals are. Not a fan of these all style battles tbh, they're just hard to judge. How can you compare a Popper who is giving you everything a Popper should give and more to a Hip hop dancer who also gives the same in their category. That's when it comes down to what style the judges are into and things get bias from there. I'm not even sure who won this only coz I have no idea what Ice-e is doing wrong or right. I can only give my opinion on Horns performance since I'm all about popping.
Well said. IMO that's the problem with all style/cross genre battles in general. I think the mindset watching these types of battles is to not care about who won or lost, but to celebrate the fact that all these different styles exist alongside each other and can be showcased in the same space.
I don't understand how club dancers are battling B-boys. Need to get back to real B-boy battles. Hoan, Frantic, popping john, Marques are the top poppers in the game

One thing I never understood about fusion concept is the arrangement of the competition and where the judges are sat. Why are they so far away from the dancers? How are they meant to see anything or pay attention to detail when certain dancers with more intricate styles like hoan beatkill? They're practically sat with the audience, it's just something I find strange

I mean I was literally yawning (not trying to be disrespectful but it's true, I don't get this new style of mopping the floors) Hoan won so far and at the very end you can see how his rival is tryin' to get notice by the crowd 'cause he knows that if he let homie Hoan dancing alone as he should be he would be killed.
Brandon Cepeda couldn't you sense in the second round that Hoan was losing his focus? I would say the battle is a bit unfair because both songs were more hiphop/ favoring Icee. Clearly Icee had better feel of the music.
Ice Had Character and more variation of moves as well as the music was both Hip Hop. Second Music, Hoan repeated same waves and same leg vibrations so you could see from crowd on second round. Ice was literally killing it with the right kind of vibe and right kind of feeling of the music. It's true hoan hit hidden beat 2 times in the music second round but that is not all it takes to beat everything Ice did -_-

Im more into popping than hiphop but still watch hiphop dance battles.i dont realy like hoans style.reason is his to stiff and clearly no ground work.to me he doesnt have the flow icee has.but saying that i have seen some moves from hoan that has stuck deep in my memory.
