Now that's AWESOME.! I love me some Hobao..! Imho they produce some of the best RCs you can get.. Especially their 80% ARTR versions.... And even more especially, their 1/8th scale platforms.! Their 1/8th scale running gear is more or less bulletproof, even on 6S....obviously if you go super mental you'll wear stuff out but I'll put it above anything Arrma or Traxxas make any day.! I've had a Hyper GT for over 3 years & a Hyper 8SC for nearly as long, both on Hobbywing 150 amp ESCs & variety of 4274 & 4282 sized motors & I use them a lot, apart from the odd broken arm or other small part from me crashing them I've had to replace nothing because it wore/broke on its own.! I also own a Hyper 10SC & a DC1 crawler & although not as tough they're still better than average, again, the running gear is all strong steel gears & is better than Arrma or Traxxas (I've lost count of the replacement diffs/inputs in my Slash & Senton... The 10SC is still original after nearly 2 years.).! Anyways, sorry for the mega comment.. I love what you've done (I love to hear the gears on those things scream) 😂 Subbed & liked & best wishes from Scotland 🏴 🙏 ♥ 📻 🎮 🔋 🚓 🚒 🚑 🚐 🚔 🚕 🚖 🚗 🚘 🚙 🚚 🚛 🚜 🏎️ 🏍️ 🚤 🛥️ ✈️ 🛩️ 🚁.!
Thanks for watching and the great comment! You are absolutely right. Hobao makes excellent cars/chassis, especially considering the price. I've two Hyper 10 TT and one Hyper 8 SST chassis and they both perform really well (the 1/10 scale on 3s or 4s, the 1/8 scale on 6s).
What a build!! Man thats nice! You earnt a new Sub mate! I immediately ordered that Proline body and its going onto one of my Hobao's. I noticed the shocks.. Are They Arrma 6s stock shocks? Apparently they fit very well ?
Thanks man! The body is from Tamiya Blitzer Beetle. The shocks are, well, I can't remember, but they are nothing special and definitely not from Arrma.
Thank you very much! Since I know your work and that you make really awesome videos with this little RC cars, your comment means a lot to me. By the way: I really like what you did with the Lotus Europa. Amazing video!
Thanks for watching! The car was never available in this form. It is a custom build. The chassis is from a Hobao Hyper 10, the body is a Tamiya Blitzer Beetle, the wheels are Tamiya (I think from the Wild Willy) and the tires are from R31house. All the parts should be still available.
This is super sweet. I was looking into getting a beetle body but couldnt get the right chassis. I support hobao all the way as its great quality/price ratio. Glad to see, thanx to you, that i can now get the hobao + the body that fits
Thank you! Hobao is indeed a great choice! Please keep in mind that the body does not fit without modifications to the chassis and/or the body! Whatever you do, have fun with it!
@@raymondc5967 You mean how to mount the body to the chassis? Well, I made some "body posts" from metal which fit exactly the shape of the body. It wasn't that hard do to because the TT10 chassis gives you a lot of mounting points 😀
Thanks for watching! Actually I started with the Hobao Hyper 10 chassis. After discovering the existence of this amazing R31House tires it was clear that these tires have to be on the Hobao chassis. Then I was looking for a proper body. And it quickly became clear that it had to be a Beetle body. Or, in the words of the Highlanders: there can only be one! 😀
i got the wheels from ww2, and the same tire, love them. i can see the front wheels use bearings on the ww2 wheels. How do you make 4wd with front ww2 bearings wheels??
Since I haven’t had a 3D printer at the time I made the posts out of some aluminium parts and reused some parts from other models. Thanks for watching!
The tires fit the standard wheels of CW-01, WR-02, and G6-01. So I guess they won't match the stock Blitzer Beetle wheels. But I didn't test this configuration. I used the wheels of the Wild Willy 2.
@@ulriksommer7353You can use the wheels from the Tamiya Wild Willy 2. Maybe you need wider 12mm hex hubs but the Wild Willy 2 wheels should fit the tires.
Thanks for watching! The Tires are the R31House Formula Kart Slicks and here in Germany they are available at tamico.de (but currently "out of stock"). The wheels are standard tamiya parts (from the Wild Willy 2 if i remember correcctly).
@@klausschieke6573 Danke! Das Chassis ist vom Hobao Hyper 10, der Body vom Tamiya Blitzer Beetle, die Felgen vom Tamiya Wild Willy (glaube ich) und die Reifen sind die R31 House Slicks. Passt 😀
Thanks for watching! The Tires are the R31House Formula Kart Slicks and here in Germany they are available at online shops for RC parts. The wheels are standard tamiya parts.
