I would question your use of the hobbles on the cannon bone area. What is your reasoning? I was taught, have watched others and read over the past 30 plus years that this is a "no hobble" area. Below the fetlock or "lunchtime hobbles" (above the knees) are the safest areas to hobble as I understand it.

I was taught to hobble above the fetlock when teaching because IF they spook or stumble they cool stab a hind foot Over the hobble if it is below the fetlock

I see no practical reason to lay a horse down.....he belongs on his feet....circus trick not Horsemanship Thx Ted

Ted, I think your horsemanship is exemplary; --- but I disagree with your comment about laying down a horse being a circus trick, In a far off country we had to lay our horses down to take cover from enemy fire, and to take cover from sandstorms:- it also creates complete trust between rider & animal, Plus when I get older, I will still be able to get on & off easier 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Keep up the great gentle work👍👍

After you've prepared for hobbling, could you use this on mules?

I was asking about hobbling, for my goal of being able to handle my rescue mules feet. She'll let you pick up her front feet, but not for long. I know mules are more precise kickers than horses. So I plan on trying to work with her feet in a gingerly manner. I told my husband, I might need to get a catchers mask and chest guard when I start working with her feet. lol!!

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36 KJV And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:3 KJV
