Those Ns are the stickers. But I've seen the iron on letters and phrases like that at the store in my area. Love all the Christmas decor. However it makes my decision harder. This year I'm putting up a tree in my craftroom. Trying to decide between the gingerbread and the treats. Both are too cute! Love the haul. TfS

I think that is a sticker. However, you can buy Heat N Bond in the fabric section that may do the trick.

Could your friend use like fabric backing? You know what I’m talking about I’m not getting it out right iron on interfacing where they would both sides would heat up and it would stick it to the fabric because of the heat of the iron and the and the heat thing. I hope I’m making sense. I know what I wanna say. I just can’t get the word out. Iron on interfacing is what I keep thinking of anyway, maybe that would work.
