Great looking baits. As a bait maker myself I’m not convinced that color shift will matter to the fish, but for sales purposes, simply amazing.

There's some killer stuff out there, for sure, and I definitely follow what you're saying, but I guess if fishing was ONLY about catching we'd all just use live bait, right?! Part of the joy is definitely using a bait that you're excited to use - colorshift or otherwise 👍👍.

I really like these kind of videos, I have never seen yours before, but since I am about to start work on a special lure, the flakes and dyes etc. are of great interest to me. the one item that I was mst interested in, you neglected to list ! who makes the monkey milk coloration you used ?

Oh shoot, you're right, I'll have to add that. Money Milk is by BaitPlastic - fantastic color! I hope you find the channel helpful, I have a LOT of content out there to check out, including a couple videos in the color demo series that I started to simply show different colors on video (you can really see what they look like that way vs a static picture). Price is indeed high, but the old adage “ya get what you pay for” also holds true. That said, each to their own, both are good options!

Okay I have the hobby Lobby flakes and powder . Do you thank they are not worth it. Also how long or hot hot do you get your molds

Hey man, absolutely not! I've used HB powder - great stuff, and the colorshift flake totally works, you just have to be a little careful using it due to how heat effects it. I would add it right before injecting and reheat your remelt slowly. You may still lose some color (like I did when I used it) but the flake under the color is still reflective and, IMO, brought a nice effect to the bait. So... still very usable, you just have to know its limitations. Regarding the molds - unless its REALLY cold and I have the garage door opened for ventilation, I don't heat my molds at all. I did on the Glory Craw video as it was just that... cold and the door was open, but even then, it wasn't screaming hot. If you have to get an injection mold screaming hot for it to shoot right... the mold design is, most likely, the issue.

And yet, guys will inevitably fish a bait better (pay more attention, be locked in - looking for the bite, etc) when they're excited to use it! After all... if fishing was ONLY about catching, we'd all just use live bait! Sport fishing is about the whole experience though, right? I guess... at the end of the day, if fishing and catching on a specific bait, even a fancy one, makes the experience better, I'm all for it!

@@SDGCustomLurecraft Adam point taken mate i hear you loud and clear mate. I am guilty of also jazzing my lures up for sale so fisherman will buy and use them. But believe it or not my personal lures whether timber crankbaits or the many varied bladed baits i make are usually plain jane single colour (all black) or 2 colours contrasting against each other. I also am a firm believer of experimenting with my baits with sonics or sound deflection in the water. All fish are opportunistic feeders they have to be or else they will starve. Now try this fish one of your flashy coloured baits in a particular style and then using the same shape colour it in just one or two colours and see what the outcome is. 99% of the time i fish lures. Why cause lure fishing is just so much fun. Maybe i over think things too much but i am always trying to come up with that one special lure that will catch fish every time its swam. Have fun with what you do Adam as i wasn't trying to put a downer on you. Anyway mate fish long and hard and enjoy. Hooroo. Regards B.J.
