Great job and thank you for doing what you do for our rc community. We all need to support our local hobby shops and local tracks. They are truly becoming far and few between. Thanks RC Girl!
It's so cool discovering from France 🇲🇫 how are your country hobby side, and if we have such shop in past, now they are so rare here, we miss the RC golden age. It will reborn a day, when appears all RC give to human everyday. Thank you for your 2 episodes for now, that's a great pleasure Cheers from France 🇲🇫
Your videos are always such high quality and this episode just took it to another level. It’s cool that you did something a little different, very fun to watch and interesting.
This place is cool. The employees are pretty chill also. I look forward to them finishing their tenth scale area as I kinda got out of the mini crawlers now. Glad I only live 30 min away
I have lived in Oregon my whole life, and been in the hobby probably longer 😂, but I have never heard of any of these hobby shops. Now I have a weekend road trip planned for this summer!
Yeah do it! There were a ton more stops and shops that reached out but I couldn't make it to all of them. If you stop in the Portland area, definitely check out Tammies Hobbies (I think the oldest in the state?) and PDX RC Underground.
@@RCGirl Oh yes, good ole Tammies, I’ve been there many times. Good selection and good staff. PDX RC Underground I’ve been only a hand full of times. In your video you mentioned several other shops, I’m assuming you are going to post more videos featuring the other shops. Can’t wait!
If you make a trip to Salem the guys at RC Plus have a nice off road track that’s free to practice on. They usually run a Friday evening racing series in the summer.
Nice work, wish I could do the tours with you. I been in rc ever since a kid. 52 yrs. old, still in it. Have a brushless Traxxas Slash and a brushless 26 in. boat and a DJI mini 2 drone. Fun hobby.
Wow! Top notch job with this video. Very informative and interesting. Quite an awesome r/c shop with an amazing variety and a huge following of passionate hobbyists. Good to see r/c is alive and well there!
This is insane!! I’m in Australia and we have nothing even remotely close to this! I would go broke if I had something like this locally 😂 just buying parts. Hopefully one day Australia will have something similar 😍
I build 1/25 scale model armor tanks, the problem with the local hobby shop is that they don’t usually have any of these types of models available. However I have found old kits from local model shows and contests. And many of the local hobby shops have modeling tools and accessories that are very helpful to build or modify kits, along with photo-etched parts, and styrene strips, channels etc. So I try to purchase those items from my local hobby shops. And all the paints and glues. As I try to support my hobby shops in my area.
Pretty cool video!! We are lucky to have a very large Hobby Town HobbyPlex here in Omaha. They have an indoor dirt, indoor oval, indoor road course, and indoor and outdoor rock crawling course.
This is bloody amazing….the passion just floods in and its infectious, I would love to even create ten percent of this back in the UK….just need a warehouse and a bit of investment. But at moment am just starting a club at my school. Looking into crawling 1-24th scale.
very cool!! Sadly it has been a long time that i have gone into a hobby shop simply because they are all gone Near by all the ones I went to as a kid gone..
This is fantastic RC Girl! You just earned a new subscriber. I can't wait to check this place out in the coming weeks and I look forward to the rest of the series. I'll have to check ALL these places out.
'Mom n pops' hobby shops have been disappearing by conglomerates like hobby towns running them out of business & making prices as high & unreasonable as possible! I know this 1st hand, as my LHS owners have been approached at least once a year, EVERY year by a HTUSA moron. Last time he came, I was there & sent his ass packing! Hobbytown are every bit AS horrible as HH buying up all the small businesses/business owners, then shutting them down, rebrand, & UP the price 3 fold with crappy QC! Hobbytown is NOT good! Good video.
RC Girl, you have a great idea here!!! Great way to highlight small and big shops all over the country. I see comments already how locals didn't even know this place existed...AWESOME!!! Especially the great people behind the brand/store. New subscriber for sure.
Dale depending on your location there’s several shops that each have a slightly different selection for most anyone. I used to live in Eugene and purchased my first rc car from Eugene Toy and Hobby. They are a great family business that carries all kinds of things from rc to model’s.
Love the videos. I've recently got back into the hobby. I found the 2 shops on my area have left me with bad experiences. One shop won't give me any information about the racing they host. The other shop is reluctant to sell me any parts or kits. I went into one of these shops for trx4 parts. I wanted the voltage sensor wire. He gave me some sort of lighting module wire. When I questioned it he said he wasn't going to argue with me. 😟 I guess RC stands for restricted community nowadays. Sad
In USA you still have a lot of hobby shops. In Italy we don't. I had one in the late past century and it was a great period but at the end it was more a club or a museum rather an economic enterprise. I decided to close and after me in my town (Milan) all the other. Now in Italy is a rare thing to find one: the hobby is strong but Amazon......Ciao!
I cannot believe just how big the hobby is in the US ! I know it’s a massive country compared to the U.K. but even so I think the retail side of rc has long way to go
wow... But I only see adults here! Damn, but I'm an adult....😁 Great report, I love it, can't wait to see the next one. A very big thank you from one of your fans from France.😉
18:40 Does anyone know what semi body is on the red 6x6? Hopefully someone from Superior Hobbies sees this comment. I badly want to start my 2nd 6x6 build but want to use a long square nose semi body. Thanx.
