Maiden voyage of a friend's Hobie Bravo and quick comparison to my Hobie Adventure Island. Regardless, a good day of sailing on the Stono River west of Charleston, SC. Music: www.bensound.com
I love my Bravo. Only real complaint is she gets squirlley in a following sea. My guess is the Bravo is faster under sail, but the AI is probably faster on average due to the pedal drive. Enough room to sleep in relative comfort on the Bravo with a one man tent, which is nice.
Nice video. I’ve had both-really enjoyed them. Learned to sail on the Bravo. Without pedals you learn to tack and jibe. AI was much easier and fun for novices-and you could go places with no wind. Can’t go wrong with either- reefing mains were ideal.
