The inside grooves of the hull in my 2021 compass didn’t allow for the rectangular bucket to fit. So I took a heat gun and just softened the bottom side ends where it would touch the grooves and closed/locked the hatch above it. No damage to the compass with minimal distortion of those bottom sides of the rectangular bucket. Still fits two medium planos!

The bucket fits just fine in our compass the way it comes.

sure they do fit. but..... if u stand a lot it compress the top onto the bucket and the problems begin. if u don't stand it most likely won't be an issue.

30milesOut I stand all the time. The trick is to get the foam blocks back in place to properly support the hull.

The bucket fits just fine as is in my Outback. I know others with the same bucket and no problems. This is the first I have heard of this problem.

like i said above. the compass buckets hinder the rudder wires.. this is a big help for compass folks i know!

@@30mofishing If you look back at your video you said Outback Compass instead of Hobie Compass. Your guest also referred to the Outback. Thus my confusion. Not a problem.

I am confused. I've owned 3 outbacks and put the rectangular hatch with bucket in all three of them. Never had a problem with any of them not fitting.

Matt Blackfish I’ve had that same problem with the cover not wanting to close but I fixed it yesterday it works now

we have problems with compass and standing. it compresses the bucket into rudder strings. rudder won't go down.. this is a sure fix.
