Hello, friends!
I’m back with an exciting stationery update for 2024 - my Hobonichi haul! I have been saving up for this purchase for months, and I had to put blinders on for other preorder planner options to set myself up with the best chance of using the books and planners I chose for next year. Since this was my first time ordering directly from the Hobonichi website, it was so exciting to receive this box in the mail, and I thought it would be fun to unbox everything with you :) Hope you enjoy it, and if you also plan to use Hobonichi next year, I’d love to hear what you’ll be using it for!

I felt so connected to your video, it felt like looking into my box when I first saw the tweed cover - still waiting on mine but I got A5. It is our money and so long as we are not putting ourselves into financial difficulties it is up to each of us to follow what brings us joy and moves us forward to a better day. I have subscribed to you as we are very similar in personality and it’s wonderful to meet a like-minded person. Looking forward to supporting you. I will be spraying my tweed with fabric protection spray - you can buy it is shoe shops. I don’t trust myself without a cover on cover which won’t fit on tweed. Best wishes for 2024, Varsha

❤ Twinkle Tweed. I haven't seen anyone unbox it, yours is the first. Ive been waiting to see it before i get mine (making a 2nd order). Yes, they are expensive & like you i wanted to make sure id make great use out of it. Its stunning. Thank you for sharing 🎉

I really resonated with your reflection on intentionally using every product you purchase. This is a struggle for me this year and I keep going back and forth on what other products I plan to get and whether or not it is something I will use.

@@LittleCocoStudio Currently, I am using a cousin size Choucho from Mina, and I purchased the Tokyo metronome and the purple cover from Colors for 2024, both in cousin size 😍 I'm also wanting the ones from Simple Covers in both black and blue 😜 and also Liberty Fabrics in both Weeks and HON 💦 OMG, I can't decide...💞😂They all make me happy🌼

Thank you! I think so, too. I tried to force myself to choose - do I went something I can take to client meetings or do I want something that fills me with joy even though most of the marketing photos showcased children using it. I was only going to get the tweed, but my inner child really didn’t want to give up the pandas 🤣

Thanks for the product info. I like decorating my planners too. As a serious-minded person, I need to do something lighthearted each day. Doing a little decoration each day is great self care.

Haha me too! I’m always, always taking notes and dedicating specific notebooks for certain topics. I guess it’s a habit I never quite broke out it from my elementary school days! And now that I’m older, I appreciate how much more enjoyable it is with smooth paper and a few fountain pens 🥹🥰

@@LittleCocoStudio I have Cousin Avec, Original Avec, and Cherry Red Mega Weeks. I also have covers: Liberty Fabrics Hollyhocks, Sunrise Blue both in A6, and Mother: Boing for A5. I bought covers for them too. This October 1, I'm struggling with either A6 Hon One Piece or just the Original One Piece. OnePiece Accessories maybe and then some Drawer Pouches. Oh, I also have Sterling Ink Common Planner, Full Year in A5.

Loved this haul, just an idea for 2025, would it be worth using a spring start weeks for a gardening planner? not sure where youre located but for here in the UK it aligns perfectly for sew/grow/harvast planning with the seasons :)

You have such inspirational stationeries and hope your stories are just as fantastic! I like to record my projects big and more but I was too practical. I wrote on A11 sheets and file each topics in colourful folders stored in alphabetical order in a filing box. I couldn’t get out of my white collar worker mode. I enjoy watching your unboxing show❤

@@LittleCocoStudio I've used the Hobonichi Techo A6 for the past two years. For next year, I'm going to use a Midori MD notebook diary in A6 and cover it with my Hobonichi cover that I bought from two years ago that I still like (it's the Time Traveling Bird one). I've also ordered a Midori MD+ Stand Diary, because it has Gantt chart pages that I think are great for longer-term projects. 🙂

I think that’s the key to continuing the practice of planning and journaling, is enjoying it : ) I appreciate the thought you put into it and sharing! ✨I’m debating just using a clear middle cover for my cousin since the only cover that being me joy is one of the more expensive ones lol Deco stuff is honestly such an investment i have a huge hoard of supplies that i can continue to use so i try to look at it that way if i add anything like that : )

I agree that it is key to enjoying the practice. I found myself dreading the set up when I was using a bullet journal, despite slowly trying to simplify my approach over time. I also felt like time was passing by too quickly, so I love that the one day a page approach gives me an opportunity to appreciate each day. Totally agree about reusing deco stuff! I have so much to work through, AND I save all of those little pieces of paper that come with orders. 😅

Nice haul. that many planners would be stressful to manage for me. I use a Weeks and a Cousin. The cousin is calendar and journaling, the Weeks is dedicated to tracking one specific thing.

Thanks for stopping by and watching! I used to see other folks talking about using so many planners and felt overwhelmed, too! I can understand how managing this many books might be stressful for others. For me, I realized that I want the separation between work/school/life/top is of special interest… but I haven’t always felt that way - and I may want to simplify again in future years! 😅

I found it was really pleasant to hold! I would describe it as smooth and firm, without being overly soft. I liked that it was a pretty tight weave, so I wouldn’t feel as worried about it snagging on something since I will likely be taking it out with me. I’ve seen some people talk about spraying their fabric covers with scotch guard, so I may try that as well. I’m trying to think of what might be comparable in texture … I’ll respond again if I can think of something!

I enjoyed your video, except you don’t need to keep trying to justify what you spent.! Everyone who is watching these videos, we understand and we All wait for a year for the new books/covers etc. to come out, and most of us do overspend. Some people are great. They budget all year long because they know they’re going to spend extra money. Some people splurge because we all work hard for what we have and we actually do use these books to help us in our lives. So please don’t feel the need to justify anything. We are all worth it.!! I do love all your choices. Enjoy.!! 💖💖
