I would love to do a video like this every week:) So would Tara:) But she works part time from home and has 4 girls to be a Momma to...so it won't happen often- but for sure we will do it again!
I just played this video with my morning coffee while cutting stickers and it was like having Tara and Amanda here hanging out with me! Thanks for explaining these products so thoroughly!
I loved this unboxing, it's so much fun! I actually love the fact that the extra bags are random because it's just left up to fate. It's like playing the lotto and fun finding if you got the same of two or not. I'm excited to see mine, if I did get one. I'm making another order for the October and November releases so, I'm excited to see everything that I get eventually. It's interesting to see how long so many people have used Hobonichi products and don't realize how to use everything they've designed to do. That's why I love stationery. It's so cool to find the engineering and thoughtfulness that designers put into creating all these products. ❤❤❤❤
You have some wonderful points! I get the fun of not knowing what bags you get;) and I agree that with every planner I review so much thought is put into it and I miss things in every review!
I served a mission in Taiwan and the stationary stores there were to die for! Mostly Japanese products . I could spend hours drooling over everything, and it was decently priced!❤
Oh, how cool! What a great perk of being there (although I know you didn't have a lot of free time to spend in the stores)! Thanks for watching and taking time to chat;)
The blue bag has onigiri on it. It’s a Japanese rice ball with a plum inside. They’re awesome and addictive and if you live next to a Japanese market they sell them.
Great haul! Thanks for unboxing for us. I'm currently in the a6 English spring start. I actually read and enjoy the quotes. Went with the Sterling Ink weeks for 2024, but FOMO got me wanting another Techo a6 English. Oh, I did grab the A5 "Have a Nice Day" cover for my Stalogy notebook. Enjoy.
Thanks for chiming in Karen:) I love hearing that you enjoy the quotes and love the a6:) I understand the FOMO feeling with Hobonichi! Especially with their covers which are so functional to me:)
Thank you. And I feel like that is not an area that a big amount of my community is interested in. And it's not my specialty... but I am going to consider this and really appreciate you letting me know what you want to see;)
I love your energy Amanda!!!!! You are just so refreshing to listen to. You're so free-flowing in this one. Do more videos with Tara, it's like a best friends video my best friends would never agree to do. 😅
Aw, thank you so much:) I would LOVE to do all my videos with Tara:) We will definitely try to fit some more in;) But she lives 20 min away and is a busy Mama to four girls...and she works part time from home. So the issue is just fitting it in;) But this was the kindest comment:) Have a beautiful week!
Thanks Amanda and Tara! I got the Yakamazura (?) A5 Hon over the regular Cousin this year and it’s so beautiful! I’ll have to add pockets and a pen holder but I’m ok with that! Love that it comes with a pencil board.
I enjoyed hanging out with you guys! I am new to Hobonichi and the whole planning concept. It seemed extreme at first but I realized that it’s flexible to be what you want and need it to be. I decided on the Hobonichi Weeks for health related planning and the A5 Hobo Day Free for Bible study ( I have a separate prayer journal bc it’s two completely different categories to me). I am excitedly waiting on my 2024 A5 Sterling Ink yearly planner :) Just subbed 😊
Hi Susan & Welcome:) I loved hearing your order and how you are going to use each one:) I hope you love your first year in Hobonichi! and welcome to the planner world:)
So sorry, Amanda🥴. I panic when it was said there were delays and I had just received the email mentioned regarding customs. I really wanted to comment on how much fun it was to watch this vlog. It reminded me of a girls night in with friends just enjoying each other's company. Chick flick is in order with hot cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate on a cool autumn night or day. I've watched you vlogs for awhile now. You helped determine which planner I wanted to try for 2023. It was the Golden Coil. I'm moving to the Hobonichi for 2024 but honestly I'll probably order from Golden Coil again for some aspects of it since I love the customization and will fit in with the cousin nicely.
Hi Angelina:) I am glad you are feeling okay about your order now:) And this is such a sweet comment on an autumn night with friends...that sounds perfect:) I love hearing how much you also love Golden Coil. Isn't it amazing how 2 totally different planners can both have our heart;) Have a lovely week friend.
I just got my Hobonichi order today( Sept22) I ordered on Aug31st. I’m in AZ it was so stressful it was parked in Alaska forever until I sent forms. I’ve never had to do that before… even my inside box was bashed up I guess from getting kicked around for so long, but I’m still keeping it as the shipping label was on the outside box And I’m thrilled with my order. No merchandise was damaged
I also ordered that yellow planner cover bc it reminded me of the old school Trapper Keeper! The Trapper Keeper has also made a comeback and I just bought one to use as my fitness planner! I’m so excited! It is, sad to say, flimsier than the OG, but I guess I was halfway expecting it.
Oh, man...that is sad the new trapper keepers aren't made as well. I guess I shouldn't be surprised! They just don't make them like they used to;) Thanks for watching and chiming in:)
Love the video, so fun😂! That "little thing" on the Hobonichi weekly clear cover (on the left side), is a sideways bookmark. I never had one of the official clear covers but, I have some from other brands and it's kind of the same thing. The one I have also helps to close the planner, it sticks on the back. I hope I explained it properly 😊😅
I am interested in how the new paper compares to the Tomoe River paper in previous years. Please do a video or comment. Thank you both. Enjoyed the chat like video!
Good question! I have just started writing in the New Hon Cousin that Tara gifted me after this video. It has the new paper...so far I like it and I don't see a big change from the old paper. Maybe less crinkly. I have only written on the monthly layouts...so maybe I need more time before I can answer that as I begin to fill up my daily and weekly pages with journaling;)
me tooooo! If I could do my video with her every week I would;) She lives 20 minutes away and she has 4 busy girls 14 down to 6 years old. She is a busy Mama and holds a part time work from home job too....so unfortunately I don't make enough money to pay her and make this her part time job;) LOL:) But I love knowing you really enjoy her!
Loved this review! Deciding between the A5 Hon and the Cousin. I stick a lot of ephemera in my planner so the Cousin has worked for me because of how the cover just expands to fit my increasingly chunky planner. Wondering how that situation will unfold if I got a Hon, any thoughts?
That is a really good question...I honestly think you should stick with the normal cover I am not sure how the Hon would do with that...after this year I am sure people will be showing their full Hons on RU-vid and IG and we can see how they do. Thanks for watching;)
Loved this video! Actually what happened to your friend Taylor happened to me as well. I ordered 3 refills and my package was held at US customs. My package was held in Alaska for 1 week, and just got released! Should be getting it Monday-- keeping my fingers crossed lol
I have the Vellutto and I love the look, feel and functionality of it. Vellutto is Italian for velvet I think, and it does feel good but still wipable!
Oh no! I just received a notice from Fedx with a form attached. Since the email originated from TN and the tracking indicated my package was still in Japan I took it as a scam. I'm in CA. Why TN when it would have to cross the Pacific? The correct order number was referenced so I will be contacting Feed first.
