*Sedins are very underrated players. It's because they aren't the flashiest and individually, they aren't going to go coast to coast, deke through 3 defenders like McDavid, or blast goals in from the hash mark like Ovie or Stamkos. They're not North-South players, but East-West. In their prime, their puck possession and passing was out of this world. The amount of tic-tac-toe plays and cycling around the board made opponents look silly chasing the puck, being hemmed in the zone for a full 2 minute shift. It's funny, because the East coast don't get a lot of exposure of the Sedins so they really don't know what goes on. They show highlight reels of teams doing tic tac toe plays and emphasize on how magical it was, when Sedins were making these things happen on a nightly basis during their prime years. It was really a treat to see back in the glory days...*
As far as mean tweets go. Why the fuck do most hockey players have dry sense of humor? I mean the Ryan Kesler and the Max Pacioretty responses was kinda halirous AND I EVEN REMOTELY ENJOYED JOE PAVELSKI'S ENTIRE BIT but for the most part, hockey players have this conservative vibe about them. Go watch a mean tweets from NBA or NFL players. They have a good time with it and even have witty comebacks. I'm not saying all NHL players are like this cuz I'm pretty sure a Claude Giroux, a Drew Doughty, or even a Alex Ovechkin would have a little bite back. But stuff like this... lack of humor and the whole "playing it safe" vibe is hurting hockey in the States. And it hurts me even more because the sicketst chrips in sports comes from hockey players out on the ice.
