Hockey tutorship Mid kid reaction, Novium in the thumbnail?

I just watched the hockey tutorial mid kick ranking video and I must say this is one of their "best" recently so thought to myself why not react to it as fast as possible. Only put in sticks they got from manufactures, called out warrior for not providing the novium then put it in the thumbnail. This video is a gem.

Actually, Tommy did talk about how the Sync shaft felt weird. Go back to the "Best sticks of 2022" video they did. The Sync was the second stick he got rid of right after the Agent. Somehow, it is now the second best mid kick stick over the Sherwood Code, which he praised in the previous video. He said it felt good despite the square shaft. Now the square shaft feels too weird, but the Sync feels good. I just left a comment on Hockey Tutorial complaining about this inconsistency as well. I used to rely on them for reviews, but they have been all over the place lately. Look at their CCM skate rankings. Tommy kept complaining about the stiffness of the AS3-Pro skates and said that he preferred the Ribcors. Fast forward to a few videos later, and he is talking about how he loves his Custom ASV-Pro skates because they are so stiff. I don't know what to make of their reviews anymore!

@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews
@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews Год назад
Most durable stick with performance is the Rekker E1 plus it’s cheaper than others. However that’s low kick. The tMP pro would be next most durable. I’m planning a stick durability video now and both of these lasted the longest for performance and value unfortunately top end stick “durability” is kind of a myth which will be touched on in the video

The Novium in the thumbnail is quite obviously photoshopped in. I can't stand watching hockey tutorial videos anymore. For the rankings it's like tommy wrote the names of the sticks on pieces of paper and tossed them in a hat. I'm glad there's much better content out there, like yours. Also sportsplex has drop in hockey on fridays too (it doesn't say on the website), and it's normally completely empty or just one guy there who leaves early.

It’s funny, not sure if this was mentioned. One of their videos had the sync vs FT5, with the FT5 winning. Suddenly it’s now not only worse then the sync, its last! At the end of the day reviews are great for real info. As someone who uses a lot of stick myself, I like to watch videos from a lot of people and get different insights because everyone is different. I do however, get confused when the self contradiction starts, and their videos are not consistent. Sadly it seems they are swaying more in that direction. I Dont always agree with every review you put up, but i am finding your reviews are much more consistent, vs most, if not all out there. So on that note keep up the good work.

@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews I’m curious. I really want to try a warrior out again. I see you talk well about the LX pro. Was the QR5 just that bad? @beerleaguebumhockeyreviews
@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews Год назад
@@mikesullivan3790 the Lxpro is one of those sticks that does everything well. I find it more versatile than the trigger 7 pro but also like that stick too. If you don’t need a stick and have some for now and are on a budget I would wait for the lx2. But if you don’t worry about budget and could use another stick the Lxpro is always a good pick up. I have tried most high end sticks this season and the jetspeed Ft5 pro is far and away my favorite all around stick, followed closely by the warrior LX pro. I feel the jetspeed is great for all shots, seems to me that their is alot of bias toward being True fan boys this week because they are paying the most...I tend to try a stick for more than 12 minutes though so YMMV

@andersborum9267 Год назад
As you mentioned in the comments made in the video, the content from Hockey Tutorial is of relevance (i.e. it's always interesting to see what's going on in the industry and check different types of gear), but regulars on the channel should quickly pick up the inconsistencies, as there are quite a few, especially around sticks. I entirely back your sentiment on using sticks during actual practice, especially prior to offering an educated oppinion. Also, most players (especially those practicing or playing regularly, i.e. several times a week) should be familiar with accidental fattigue that easily influences the perception of gear (i.e. weight, balance etc.); and stiffer pro sticks like the CCM T6P or FT5P require proper weight, force and effort to get decent results.. you can't be half hearted about it, or the result will suffer. A fellow team player of mine was keen on getting the CCM T7P as the weight and balance initially appealed to him; he then used mine for a couple of practices (as we use similar specs) but strangely went back and forth on his oppinion between practices .. and eventually decided to stick with the CCM T6P, as he felt the difference was so miniscule (this from a quite experienced player). Aside from all these reviews, most recreational players that play a single night a week likely don't have the strength or technique to maximize the potential of the stick, and it reminds me of golf players carrying iron sets with True Temper X100 shafts (super stiff); any good player can get good results from low-, hybrid- or mid kick sticks.

@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews yeah the term "robustness" comes up quite easily. As for the BAUER Boron (or "moron") stick, what's your take on durability? @andersborum9267
@andersborum9267 Год назад
I skipped from the T6P (75, P29) to the FT5P as soon as it was released (75, P29) as I wanted to experiment with the hybrid design, and it's quite a stick but also a very different release; takes more effort for shots but is more robust for hard passes. Later I got the T7P (75, P29) and definitely noticed the faster release, but for hard passes it feels less robust. It's almost as if the FT5P comes across as a stiffer stick, even when compared to other CCM pro models of exact same specs, and for that reason, I think the FT5P is likely to be a better experience if bought at a flex rating ~5 or 10 points lower. I think that would provide the better snap and still get you the great puck feel. Am considering trying out the ASVP just for giggles.
