Just missing the sound of the lightning and the evil laugh. if im not mistaken. Oh the memories, this was such an awesome little gem of a platformer game.
oh god, haven't heard that sounds since i was about 6 years old :O this creates memories for lifetime.. would like to see any kid today remember battlefield 3 music when they grow old :P
This came out when I was BORN!!! Lol I miss this game! This is Clydes Revenge! My dad was awesome introducing me to these old DOS games. The mushroom men in the first levels scared the shit out of me how they ran 🤣💀
+Brendon Jose And in 20 years, only a VERY select few games have surpassed this in overall fun (in my opinion). Some games just tap into this feeling you get when loading up the main menu that I have not experienced in a GREAT MANY years! *goosebumps*
+TheH3dgie Would it please you to know someone as young as 25 knows and LOVE this game more than 98% of the games available on today's market? Only a few select games, in my OWN opinion, surpassed this game in overall fun!
lol ya, I just figured that I remembered the song from the penguin level and would look up what level it was to find the song and maybe other people just remembered songs from certain levels too.
Alex Shor It probably was the leisure game pack, it was a white CD with blue letter. I know it had this, Raptor, and Mystic Towers. I think it also had a couple Commander Keen games.
+Jeffery Chiang Same. And I can't even begin to speculate why? I have googled for the theme song I remembered as a kid...hour and hours and---nothing! I can't find the one I remembered. Am I remembering it wrong? :/
+Benjamin Landgren I have to sit and think very hard and cast my mind back 21 years, when I played it on my 386 as a kid. I remembered hearing this music when the "credit rolls", perhaps they had a different version? Or I could just be aging and can't recall things right ;p
+Jeffery Chiang It's because of the sound card. If you play the game with the sound card at the time of the game or with a good emulator, the sound is different you're right. And the original sound is so much better ^^. I download it in mp3 :3 .
+Jeffery Chiang Not sure, this is how I remembered it though. I downloaded an emulator and played it all the way through, each level stopping and recording about 3 min of music then editing it down in ProTools. It does sound more exciting as you're jumping around blowing up demons with rapid fire lightning bolts.
Just some games we can reminisce about that I used to play when i was a kid...Monster Bash, Boppin, Raptor, Jill of the Jungle, Commander Keen, Realms of Chaos, Wolfenstein, Doom, Rise of the Triad, Shadow Warrior, Jazz Jack Rabbit, Xenophage, Bio Menace, Blake Stone, One Must Fall, Electro Man, Alien Carnage, Duke Nukem, Cannon Fodder, Wacky Wheels, Spelling Castle, Skunny: Save Our Pizzas, and Alley Cat (this menu theme will be stuck in my head until the day I die.)
+Xae87 Not to mention Epic Pinball, Heretic, Dare to Dream, Kilo Blaster, Xargon, Blood, Catacomb Abyss, Secret Agent, Solar Winds, Jetpack, Maddog Williams in the Dungeons of Duridian, Hugo's House of Horrors, God of Thunder, Castle of the Winds, ZZT, Hovertank 3D, Rescue Rover... It was a simpler time, but in many ways a purer one.
@KalashniCock no prob! I played through the whole series and recorded the songs from each level as I played because some of them have been stuck in my head for years. Especially the level with the penguins and eskimos. I just wanted hard copies of the songs I'm glad people appreciate them!
this game is as old as me i remember we had this game on outdated computers back when i was in school, they were too outdated to play liero, the predecessor for worms
if anyone has Steam, look for the Apogee/3DRealms mega pack, it has this game plus other classic games like Raptor: Call of the Shadows, Paganitzu, Monster Bash 1-3, and others
I watched someone else's recording of this, but it didn't sound stereo and "echoey" like this one does. What did you do differently? It sounds awesome...
+Clint Hobson Didn't do anything, I ripped it straight from the game as I was just standing there w no mobs, then I added a fade out in ProTools since it just loops forever.
