I have NLPHL the good cancer lol. It took 3 biopsies to get a firm diagnosis. The first two were BOTH needle biopsies. One a guided CT needle biopsy and the other a needle biopsy going a different route, collapsing my lung and going around my ass to get to my elbow. Both biopsies were BULLSHIT because a needle biopsy for Lymphoma is not sufficient form for a firm diagnosis. I had a lymph- ectomy 27 days after they collapsed my lung and did another needle biopsy. I should have sued lol. I'm still alive so EVEN BETTER! It's definitely trying however, to get word you have cancer then having to wait over 3 months for a diagnosis.

@@liadavalo5149 how many biopsies did it take to get that diagnosed? It took 3 for me one was very invasive and unnecessary.

@Brandon Tussing : May I know what stage it was and the treatment that you had gone through?

@@VikasVPX I just had a 3 cm mass removed from in front of my ear which turned out to be NLPHL. I was biopsied five months earlier and no cancer detected. But I was not surprised because I had spoken to friends who had biopsies for prostate cancer which showed nothing and when surgery was done it showed stage 4 cancer. Biopsies can be very unreliable. NLPHL is only 5% of the Hodgkin's lymphomas, and an indolent (slow-growing) type. It is challenging to study because everything "works". I was staged at 1A, with no symptoms. A PET scan showed the only instance of any cancer was at the site of the surgery, and it was not very active. Options were to use either radiation, which would probably kill it, but it would also give me dry mouth for the rest of my life. The option I chose was to "watch and wait" and have a CT scan in 6 months. From what I saw, those identified at stage 1A - who opted to do nothing - after five years had no progression of the disease in 74% of cases. If it progresses, I can do monoclonal antibodies, chemo or radiation. Prognosis is very good using any of these.

This is great! Would be nice to also demonstrate the sub-types of classical Hodgkin lymphoma. But great presentation. I especially like the summary slides at the end!
