So it's been nearly 5 months since I finished my last cycle of chemo (escalated BeaCOPDAC). I've been recovering really well and I'm so grateful to the NHS, my doctor and all the amazing nurses + all my family and friends. This will be my last HL vlog post. I wish everyone who is going through chemo strength to get through it all (you can do it) and a successful recovery. Sending lots of Love out to you all in 2019.

So great to hear you have recovered. I had 6 months chemo for non Hodgkins lymphoma and finished in June, going every 3 months for blood work. My hair stayed in but I lost my natural curls, super straight now. Happy New Year and a healthy one too. From USA

Hello. I'm going through treatment for hodgkins. I completed cycle 4 of 6 of ABVD on Friday, 7 weeks to go now. I see in your description you got escalated. Did you have a positive mid point scan? Glad you're doing well now.

Hi there yes I had a mid way scan at 6 weeks (treatment was 12 weeks in total) and it was clear. Have you had a mid way scan? I hope everything goes well for you, you're over halfway now...keep going and keep smiling! Wishing you all the best with your future.

@@walkingthehealingpath Hi, yes I had my mid point scan at 9 weeks and it was clear so I'm in remission. I was stage 3b at the start so I'm grateful I responded well. I was just curious as to why you were treated with BEACOPP. I thought that normally in the UK most patients start with ABVD and then switch to BEACOPP if their mid point scan is still showing activity. Anyway cheers for the well wishes. It's been a shit year but the bell ring is in sight now. All the best.

@@Mike-tb9xq I hope you're doing well now, I expect you've finished all your treatment and you're now I'm recovery? I went straight for Beacopp to 'blast' it all out of the water, plus it was a shorter treatment time. I hope all is going well for you, sending you best wishes.

@@walkingthehealingpath Hello. Yea I finished in November and my post treatment scan was all clear. I have my first 3 monthly checkup next week so hopefully all will still be fine. So glad its over but something positive came out of it in that its given me a changed perspective on life. I've been living a pretty healthy lifestyle since I finished and trying to appreciate each day to the full. Hairs all grown back which I'm super relieved about (I couldn't pull off a bald head). Only thing I've been left with is neuropathy in my feet. I wake up and the front half is almost completely numb. They think it will go away or at least improve slowly over time though. I wasn't ever offered Beacopp, it was just your doing abvd and that's all there is. I've read somewhere that certain countries in Europe like Germany use beacopp as standard though. Hope you are well too. Take care.

Hello love did you have to change your diet ?
@walkingthehealingpath

Hi there I was already eating a healthy/varied diet and was vegetarian. During treatment I went with what my body wanted and made sure I got loads of calories but thankfully craved veg, fruit and loads of healthy carbs like rice and potatoes. I went off cheese. I'd say the more fruit and veg you can eat the better to keep your vitamin levels up and support your body's functions, including immune system and hormones. Also ate anti inflammatory foods like ginger (also helps with nausea), pineapple, mango and turmeric. Craved oranges every day (probs for vit C) and drank about 3 litres of water a day. Hope that helps! :)

Question I have gone from 86kg to 72kg in 6 weeks, I have chills inside my body, my armpits hurt like a bitch, top of the chest hurts again like a bitch, the lower back into my groin kills and to finish I have small amounts of blood in my urine. I have been to the hospital, they say I have no infections, kidney, liver ect is fine. How do I go about someone checking my nodes iam worried as I have all the symptoms. Dose this show in blood test like low red/white cells or it requires other tests. I will ask my gp to check my nodes. Iam see a urologist when they send my appointment. To finish I sweat super bad under my armpits, really clammy on my hands any advice would be lovely. Super happy you are ok x

Hey, I'm so sorry I missed your message and only just seen it 4 years on (I don't log into this account much). I really hope your doctor helped you get a diagnosis and that you're doing okay now?
