The thing that’s dumb about the fight is you have to be in the right position to destroy the glowing orbs

And I die cuz I cast it and I miss

I’m to good then because I did it with only 15 healing potions no cabbages and no endures potions nothing

I never realized you had to match the corresponding color and i used all my healing potions from the start 🤦🏽‍♂️ you don’t know how long it took me to finish it with one health bar 😭

Same here I had like 25 and I’m on last healing potion and I don’t wanna start all the way over and get more just to end up in the same predicament smmfh

I brought 20, but the trolls beat my ass. Thank god I had the imperius curse. Made them fight each other

So I went into that fight with 5

@@FNTherapist I ended up bringing as many Health AND Edrus potions as possible too, because they make you invulnerable to basically everything. I saved as much as I possibly could until the last phase, and literally the Edrus potions were what saved my ass. I had ZERO potions left when I finished killing him.

I am on Normal and I killed him with 12 healing potions and level 25 and 1 edurus potion

Also, unlock all the Ancient Magic Hotspots and you have four meters. Upgrade your gear traits to Ancient Magic III (Ancient magic increase significant damage), save your Ancient magic until the last phase and it should be a catwalk.

it’s fine but the last last stage is bullshit you kill all his healthbar then he has some bs final stage like what

I didn’t think of that I was about to rage quit, changed it to story and smashed him haha

@@assmasterdeluxe562 fr i was out of wiggenweld & literally 1 hit away from dying, i finished his health bar & sighed of relief until the mf lands on me for the final stage. i got out of the quest after that attempt 🤣

Level 33 377 defense and 359 Offense and I still got destroyed, max potions. The thing is switching spells sucks so much on controller.

@@jojohammi3992 Swift ability from the Core upgrade path is your best friend here. No point of trying to use protectgo or anything here. You’re going to be using basic cast to attack him while dodging over and over again with swift ONLY use damage spells when he uses the fire breath or close his wings. Otherwise he moves way too fast and will punished you. Do this over and over again he will drop

Yeah I have my core and dark arts maxed, but I keep accidentally casting the circle button spell instead of dodging as they're the same button.

I went into the mission with 8 healing potions and I had 3 left for the whole fight 😂 managed to do it on normal though

And yeah you have to get close enough to the orbs to break them and make sure you pointing towards them, it will be highlighted if you’re in the right range too

Literally the only thing getting me killed is the second phase where he spits out fire with no warning

​@@Kareem-si7bg nah it's when he's on the ground that I can't beat...I had him literally on no health then got side swiped by his tail and I was so mad I just went to bed.

Turn volume down really helped slot

@@stephanieyan146 lol yea listening to him helped. the Ranrok dragon lets out a loud screech every time he shot something at you that could be blocked with protego.

I did it at level 26 with one wiggenweld and I didn’t get avada kedavra first

i feel you, i was crying too out of frustration no joke 😂 i finished his health bar when i was 1 hit away from dying & CRIED out of joy but i didn’t know there was a final stage and the mf lands on me and kills me. not even a checkpoint there, had to redo it. i left the quest 🤣

I been saying the same thing it’s supposed to be a challenge but it shouldn’t cater to the boss this game is terrible for overloading the bosses and giving them multiple attack windows

From someone who finally just beat it that’s easier said than done. Once you get into the rhythm of dodging they somehow manage to still cause damage

@@LilNasXLover yeah it took me a good hour. Just gotta get used to the boss’s attack patterns in each phase and hope for the best

@@samjin4203 I managed to reload a different save, come back to the bossfight save and it seemed to of worked fine, hopefully wont be an issue for others

@@jackkay726 ok thank you. Am having the same issue and I’ve seen a few comments about it so unfortunately it looks like it may be a glitch with the boss itself.

Mines like this too but I’ve restarted it countless times and from different saves neither time is working and I don’t know wht to do

@@pachomiussinanicus1728 yea, I did it last night and I’m on the hardest difficulty. I just took my time rather than rushing through it, making sure I healed. It sucks my Avada Kedavra did nothing lol, but I guess that would kind of defeat the object of the toughness lol 😂

I've got crap reactions and play on a keyboard and mouse so I found this really hard. In the end I got it by working the other quests first so I went in with level 33, 2360 health, 341 damage, 374 defence plus I had every piece of gear on max upgrade and Level III Concentration Trait (adds damage) and max everything on tool wheel plus 25 Wiggenweld. That made the fight a walkover until the third arena. The way that worked for me was to take off my headphones because the sound is just a distraction, set up Edurus potions and try and stay covered by that so as to use less health potions. Then ignore the dragon and focus on the shields. Use dodge with the extended movement powerup to move about rather than walking/running. You've got to move to get close enough to the coloured orb to zap it, if you shoot from miles away it doesn't work. The key is having the right colour spell powered up when you need it. Don't shoot until you have a clear shot at an orb because you'll be on cool down when you need it to work. Shooting the dragon does nothing until the shields are down at which point you see its damage bar. Once they are down then spam it with your most damaging spells. I used Glacius (yellow) , Bombardo (red) , Depulso (purple), Diffindo (red), on the first rack and Arresto Momentum (yellow), Confringo (red), Descendo (purple), Avada Kedavara (green) on the second and the ancient magic. The yellow/red/purple spells are in the same order because you will need to switch between racks to get the colour you need not on cooldown. It took two rounds of this to kill him. Adava Kedavara has a huge cooldown and isn't a one shot kill on the dragon but it does a lot of damage.
