In 1890, Tobbs couldn't find anymore leeches in the first area, so he moved deeper into the cave. Unfortunately, this was also home to a large acromantula, which killed Tobbs before he could finish writing one last letter to his master.
Deek was sent to work for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry which he enjoyed a lot more, though was saddened to see Tobbs wasn't also assigned to the school. He later befriended a young Matilda Weasley during her second year at Hogwarts and the two discovered the Room of Requirement together.
