When I see ports like this, I get impressed for what they manage to do on the limited hardware, instead of criticizing it for what it can't do compared to the version on way more powerful hardware It takes me back to the days when console games on systems like gamecube/ xbox/ ps2 would get GBA/Ds ports or PSP versions, Boulders Gate Dark Alliance on GBA for example, excellent downsized experience, the full gamecube experience , on the GBA , with lesser graphics

After the demise of WiiU, I was wondering how much more capable can Switch be, given it's a portable system. The stuff they've been able to achieve on it, with games like these, still amazes me today. Really excited to pick this up and take with me on trips.

Consider this: the Switch is 6 years old and is considered a last gen console at this point for many. For a game that utilized every bit of the new gen consoles, this looks AMAZING on the Switch and I personally cannot wait for our folks in the Nintendo community to finally experience this magical game.

Wish devs would take notes from the Witcher 3 on Switch and just did players a solid for once. That entire game was on a 32gig cart! No dowload required. That's amazing.

I think this is probably the most impressive port the Switch has received in its entire life. Just the fact that they ported a game that no longer runs as well on consoles like the XONE (it runs at 720p and can't maintain 30fps in more tense scenes on it) to a portable console like the Switch is already impressive, not to mention mentioning that the minimum requirements to run this game on PC are almost triple that of Switch hardware in general, they really worked magic here. Ports like this honestly make me think the Switch would be able to play games like Red Dead Redemption 2 or Resident Evil 4: Remake with a few tweaks.

I don’t know about RDR2, GTA 5 hasn’t even come out (yet) Maybe Rockstar will throw the Switch a bone after announcing GTA 6 for the current gen platforms; RE4 on the other hand is more doable as RE Engine is already running pretty well on the Switch ala Monster Hunter Rise

This is a very good game, I've played through on ps5 twice but it doesn't have much replayability, after going through the game it just sat there on my console until today waiting for some dlc add-ons worth coming back for. With that being said it's amazing how small they got this file size for the switch and even more impressive that they were able to keep this kind of graphical quality. The switch really is a trooper 😅

THIS IS WORTH ALL THE WAIT! I work most of the time so I really appreciate big games like this being ported on switch. I can bring my switch anywhere so I can play Hogwarts Legacy. É muita bruxaria esse jogo q é considerado bastante pesado em consoles estar rodando no Switch, que é um hardware praticamente de 2015. E o jogo terá os seus mágicos 16GB

The footage definitely looks like switch, limited effects, lesser quality textures, etc But this is extremely impressive for a switch game, and for those who're asking to see gameplay in the open world lemme just remind you that, Xenoblade Chronicles, botw and totk, and more are on the switch, it's not impossible to run an open world on switch, but it's difficult to optimize it. I'm sure they heavily did here but I'm overall crazy impressed Good job dev team, good job porting team

Must've been quite a journey to optimize it for Nintendo. I've been having fun on my Series S. I recommend fidelity with motion blur to smooth out the 30fps.

Funny how this trailer only shows in-game cutscenes and nothing else to do with gameplay itself. The fact that cutscenes (and only cutscenes) is all that's shown in this trailer has me skeptical and concerned about what's objectively the most important aspect of a game… The gameplay. And it would be nice to see how that looks in a trailer, not just in-game cinematic cutscenes.

When i first heard that this was coming to the switch, I was worried because I thought it meant another cloud port. So the fact that they were able get it to run on the switch alone is nothing short of impressive.

This is actually impressive that it's running on the switch at all. If you only console is the switch it would make sense to grab it. But if you have any other console I would suggest getting it on that.

itll be leaps and bounds, switch doenst have the power. but if the switch version runs at a steady 30 frames min, then its a port well worth the money for portablity

Apparently they had to get rid of the open world element all of the other platforms have and the loading screens take an incredibly long time, like 30 sec to enter a store in hogsmeade

KK que piada ... Está horrível graficamente não se aproxima nada dos atuais ... O mais atrativo desse jogo é o clima cinematográfico e nessa versão ele está morto! Console muito limitado, apesar de ser legal já está fazendo hora extra e o ano de 2023 exige um Hardware melhor ...

Huge Respect Nintendo, your console is the best console ever made, I love ToTK, The Witcher 3, Mario Kart, Hogwarts Legacy and many more, from motion controls to the greatest sports game always releasing 10/10 flagship games and amazing ports , Nintendo Switch is my favourite thing of all time I love you Nintendo Thank You❤️
