I think the platinum is rare because many people (me included) have a collection trophy bug which prevented us from getting the platinum 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you're talking about the missing page on the map, u dont need it to platinum, you just have to have everything completed on the 'collection' tab of the menu. And if you are missing a page on that section, its pretty easy to figure out, compare what you've already collected with mapgenie

@@zesty7893 from what I've seen, usually a butterfly collection chest bugs and doesn't give anything. If you open a collection chest while in combat it may not give the item.

I've already pushed through 2 bugs... one was a missing ancient magic spot, which suddenly showed up on my map AFTER i was standing on it... not sure that I'll go for Platinum, but we'll see

Hey for the people who are struggeling with the collecting Things. You can scroll out of the map and See in which area what is missing. In hogwarts u can do that for every section

Oh man. I platinumed this a couple of weeks ago, and somehow RU-vid knew and recommended your video. I agree with everything! So much fun. Thanks for doing this. I’ve just spent 30 minutes grinning and nodding. My jaw and neck hurt. You did it so differently to me though. I did most of the side quests during my story playthrough. Potions and plants popped very early. Collection chests drove me to distraction.

Dont you hate on my man Sebastian though lol his side quests were my favorite to do! 😅 Hats off to you for playing through the entire game without using anything from your room of requirement. @@IAmRob i do wonder if you knew, but im pretty sure you did, that with stealth you can open the one eyed chests and they always give you 500. Until the last broom, i was actually never short on money, so catching and selling 100 beasts was kinda funny to me lmfao Hogsmeade alone got me like 5k this way

Hi, I noticed a few times you were low on money. Another good way to get quick money is to open the eyeball chests in hogwarts and hogsmede. You do this by using the disillusionment charm before the eye sees you and then you can walk up to the chest and open it. You get 500 coins for each chest

This was by far the most fun platinum i ever did. Only painful thing for me was the merlin trials honestly. Absolute game changer for me was when i realised, i could SCROLL OUT of the map to see what i was missing in each area, because the last 3 collections almost gave me grey hair. I also got the bug where 2 collections werent counted in the game, however, the trophy still popped, so that was a pleasant surprise Also ANOTHER pleasant surpise: i only beat imelda once and the trophy popped anyway. I kept challenging her and of course, was getting better, beating my own time. Beating my own time by 10 seconds, but not beating her progressed the sidequest line anyway and the trophy just popped. Idk if this is bigged lol

omg finishing touches (ancient magic on every enemy) gave me the most problems. i used it on many of them but i never bothered with a lot of the ones i knew i could take out in just a few hits so i had to make a list of the ones i knew i had used it on, compare it to all the enemy types in the game, and then do it to every enemy i was uncertain of and just keep checking the trophy progress to see if it went up. ughhhh

There are two very clear ways to track your progress with mr. Moon's demiguise statues (the statues are also more than he requires for his quest and he lets you know about this too so there's no way the tame glitched on the last one for his quest like you said): 1. In the quests panel when you hover over his quest it tells you how many you have and you can also find how many your have in your inventory. You knew this because you knew you had found 32. 2. If you zoom out completely on the map and you hover 9ver each region it tells you how many moons there are in that region and how many you have found. Same goes if you hover over villages and hamlets without zooming out. Finding them in the villages and hamlets isn't something hard either just enter each house and there's not a lot of houses

Merlin was the biggest pain for me , not all of the trials popped up on my map so I had to hunt for them and eventually just gave up and looked for a guide on where the handful I was missing was

If you go to the map and zoom out to highlight different areas of the map you can see the Merlin trials completed in that area…. Then you go to that section and fly around spamming revelio to see the Merlin trials you missed

I just got Platinum. Literally screamed so loudly the entire block heard lol. Only took 5 months because of glitches. Seriously. Got it though as a Hufflepuff. And literally still playing again now as a Gryffendor

I absolutely had a blast playing the game, but the achievements are such a chore to get, especially all the Merlin Trials and the Finishing Touches achievements. And the achievements for entering the Map Chamber as a different member of all four houses are just so time consuming. I get that the story for either house is different to how you enter the tomb of Jackdaw but it’s just so time consuming when you just want to get all the achievements.

This. My second character took 4h to get there....even if I ignore some of the random stuff I did at most I would shave maybe 30 min. That's another 7h I'd have to play for 2 trophies!

With being apart of the wizarding world club you got most of your first choices pre set to what you had in the quizzes and I was sooooo excited about that I even bought the $80 version and worth every penny

I just want my progress to save. I have to "Find your common room" a 4th time. I put in a good 8 or 9 hours into the game, manually saved, file has correct date and time except all of my progress/spells/items are gone. So frustrating! Thank you for listening to my TED talk.

Hey Rob, are you sure that you have to collect every field guy or merlin trials. Because for the Demiguise statues the trophy poped at 64 (you can trace the trophy in the trophy menu), but they were a lot more.

You actually didn't need the butterflies. It is a page but not a field guied page. One of the butterflies was glitched for me and i was going feral. But then i got it and didnt even need the Butterflies. The platnum was very fun to do i have over 85 hours in that game. I even farmed all the shiny animals for fun. They look amazing compared to the normal ones

I got infinitely frustrated getting the platinum because I ran into a glitch with one of the trophy’s of killing every enemy and like big boss thing. Well I did it and realized I never got the ‘kill’ for Alexandra’s troll. When I did during the troll control quest. And it didn’t count had to restart 6 hours before that and had to redo it.

I'm working on it right now and saving the 3 separate playthroughs for dead last. Going through the Merlin trials and the other collectibles first. I think I'm over 50 hours in my playthrough.

you only need the revelio pages for the trophies, every page that requires other methods (dont give a picture/info about a location) will not matter, there are also several of these that do not track properly.

In my opinion the only bad thing about the trophies are the ones that require you to discover the map chamber as all four houses, it takes quite a bit of time of just the same thing over and over again

There's a clue to the cow flipping one if you listen to the NPCs around Hogsmeade circle. "Only a hairy-hearted sod would cast flippendo on a cow!" says a witch. "Oh, I can do that?" I wonder... There's no trophy, but casting transformation on the various animals is fun, too.

There’s a bug regarding infamous foes.. it says i found all on the map + i did all sidequests but it still says only 11/12 have been found/killed. After last months update it should’ve been fixed according to the patchnotes yet mine’s still bugged

I took my first character (a Slytherin Wizard) to 100% complete. Then when my second character (a Ravenclaw Witch) reached the Map Room I thought I can't just leave her here, so I took her through to 100% completion too. Same with my third character (a Hufflepuff Witch). I have just taken my fourth character (a Gryffindor Wizard) up to his second trial and there is no way I can drop out of this game now, I have to take him to level 40 and 100% everything just for completeness sake. Furthermore I also need to get each of my characters fully fitted out in Level 40 Legendary gear with 114 offence on each piece of clothing. And then to finish off I may turn my hand to decorating one (or more) of the Rooms of Requirement and Vivariums. This game was worth every single penny I paid for it. Just a thought, is there anyone out there that has actually returned the portrait to the Three Broomsticks? I know I have put him in The Hog's Head on each of my game runs.

this was probably the funnest game I have ever played only issue was for the quest where deek tells you to bring two thestrals and breed them ,It says I already have the thestrals where I clearly don't and all the thestral dens on the map have just randomly disappeared.Does anyone know a fix?
