Harry and Draco face off in an epic rap-style prayer battle. Who will win? Who will be converted, and who will be smited?? Will Harry and his friends ever stop being casually racist??? :O (Spoilers: the last one is a no.)

Dean is the student who Hogwarts enrolled so that they'd have somebody non-white to put in the promotional photos for the school's brochure.

I think I figured out the Dean Thomas thing. The author is "Grace Anne," and is Southern, right? So I think what's going on is that Grace Anne thinks "Dean Thomas" is his entire given name, instead of a given name and surname. As for the constant adverb thing with him, I think the gimmick there is "Grace Anne being so desperate to prove she's not racist that she's overdoing it with the complimenting."

My theory kinda relates to that second one - that since this is a critique of fundamentalist Christianity, it's a parody of fundamentalists trying to act like centuries of racism doesn't exist but not actually knowing how to not be racist. That's why it's subtle. A lot of more hardcore Christian sects' attitudes towards women are still overtly sexist, as seen by the many many fundamentalist RU-vidrs and their videos expositing their beliefs, because a common fundamentalist perspective is that women exist to serve men. But the majority try harder to insist they're not racist. In more recent decades fundamentalists are trying to reach out and bring racial minorities into their church to boost numbers, but... Not helped by the fact that a lot of ex-fundamentalists often (unsurprisingly) describe still-existing racist attitudes within these churches and congregations when speaking out, even if the public face of the church tries to be something different. In terms of the themes and messages of the story and how racism relates to the satire of religious fundamentalism, I think the story is spotlighting how these self-righteous people who think they're so pure and holy actually have these massive negative traits but aren't very self-aware of them. Which ties into how the ending uses Voldemort's rationality to excentuate their irrational behavior and lack of self-awareness.

Brilliant with the az and Mike skit. If you did videos that were just skits like that like you said you're thinking about, I think that would be awesome.

I’ll talk to Kod and see if we can make that happen. ;) I think there might be a few extra minutes from their first appearance that I trimmed out because I had no idea if people would even like a skit that long and I didn’t want it to take too much away from the story. I might upload all the unedited bits together in a little sims or storyboard video or something.

I could be wrong, but based on my own writings on FF Net (Persona Duality/Gnosis, lol), if you don't give a name to a chapter then it defaults to 'Chapter ##'. Might need to double-check this though. And I'm honestly surprised that Harry didn't just pray that Ron got a Gryffindor hat. Or that all of Hogwarts did. Unless God has his limits...or Harry would end up on prayerbation ala Hagrid. Also I don't know if you've familiar with LRM Reading, the Scottish guys who read My Immortal and other fics, but I'm part of their Discord/streaming, where they (occasionally) read fics, play games, etc, it's good fun! We've been playing Lost in Vivo recently, have a look if you're interested!

With the racism, I think might be because the author is taking the persona of an ultra-religious author, and as such is writing from that perspective. A lot of people who are members of these religions she parodies discuss sexism a lot - some are completely against it, some effectively argue "seperate but equal" for men and women, and some are out and proud misogynists. There's a lot of conversation about the role of women inherent in the doctrines of all of them. But the particular Christian subcultures she's representing and satirizing are overwhelmingly white, have a huge history of racism, but like to think they aren't racist and/or that racism is over and racial minorities are complaining about nothing (a view particularly common back in 2014, when this story was written, and when a significant portion of white communities were still arguing Black Lives Matter was making a fuss over nothing) so it makes sense to me why feminist issues inherent in the discussed faiths would get so much attention and the problem of racism would be presented with more subtlety, because the satirical persona of the author, "Grace Ann Parson," is a 2014 white fundamentalist Christian mother; i.e. someone with a lot of biases, some of which she would be far less willing to consciously admit exist. I mean, I'm not an expert on any of this - race or religion - but it's just a theory that occurred to me.
