The lore behind Turkey joining the Axis probably has to do with the historical Anglo-Soviet Invasion of Iran in 1941. Iran officially maintained a policy of neutrality, but was pretty strongly axis-leaning: if they were going to abandon neutrality and choose a side voluntarily, they'd have gone with the Axis. The join Soviet-British invasion was meant to preempt Axis plans to diplomatically get permission to move troops through Turkey to Iran and then attack the Baku oil fields from that direction. Obviously, the Soviets and the British invading a neutral country isn't a good sign for Turkey, another neutral country. Historically, Turkey remained Neutral, but if there was a point where they might have taken the Axis side, then being convinced by the Axis in the wake of the invasion of Iran would be it.
Isnt this HOI4 if Germany won the Battle of Stalingrad? Mostly Because it seems like you don't actually hold too much of the Caucasus anymore except for Baku. Also because if Operation Barbarossa worked then the Germans would be at the A-A line already.
I mean this mod has a major allied bias. Or in my Game both the Germans and Italians couldn't hold theIr line due to AI. Italy was already on the backfoot 1 month after game start, 6 months in they lost africa. Germany broke Moscow and we marched onwards to Kazan yet the allies we're landing in Italy and my france was suffering from 2000 Strats bombing everything I own.
@@timkey_4542 I mean, yes, but at the start of the mod I was flooded with the supposed changes as to why Germany won in Stalingrad and Italy in Egypt. I quote "the Italian Tanks were at the beginning of the war superior to the british and when the German Tanks arrived in Egypt they were simply outmatched" Yet after 1 month Italy has a 1-Div-per-tile front on egypt and Britian easily defeats them. So either the AI is stupid or the setup.
@@kommissarvalkyre2054I'm late, but for me, it was different. It was quite a matched game until the end. I was playing the USSR (great experience), and so the Allies (even with the Winter Offensive bonus in Egypt) didn't move a single tile. Even Operation Torch barely worked. They did an invasion in Denmark and got stuck at Hamburg. But, my front was amazing fun and not just my best HOI4 game, but also my best Soviet Union game.
When I was playing at this mod as Germany I couldn’t push a SINGLE FUCKING TILE, and when i play USSR i can’t hold a single tile, then I watched stats of an AI, now I know why so many people say that AI is cheating
