After the initial tree is done, rush war with the northern tribes, turn all troops to the cheap militia, turn default occupation laws to, "no garrison" (Ideally you should get the wars to puppet the North done before this becomes a problem). While at war, I like Autonomous People's militia, but either way buff out the division count to satisfactory levels (for me, full army of 24 of the cheapest troops, not counting the temporary 6 militia divisions you can call). Then rush war focus with Vedinia. After that is done, rush the focus for the Republic or if you're not comfortable wait for Vedinia to pump out their first new troops. If this was done fast enough the Republic shouldn't have enough troops to cover the whole front. It varies from playthrough to playthrough, but there's usually some spots with only a few divisions with possible reinforcements farther away. In my experience it's mostly at Vedinia. I keep the main army to guard my border, call only Vedinia in and use the 6 decision militias to encircle and pick off (attack just to pin if necessary). The AI is not smart enough to swarm Vedinia faster than you can pick off the stragglers or for AI Vedinia to retake land. They also cannot afford to lose any divisions so anything you kill is a huge damage that will cause them to redistribute troops, leaving more divisions isolated. If they are REALLY isolated and mostly idle, you can just encircle them and if they're nearby, let Vedinia or any communist volunteers kill it while you go do something else. Eventually even their main line will start to have gaps allowing your main army to start entering and commit to additional encirclements or general advancements. Now in some rare moments, they do focus their troops on Vedinia, but in those cases I keep Vedinia out and either advance on the main line or the Northern tribes. Also I discovered this by accident, but the left most province on the main border whose border is barely noticeable I leave empty. Sometimes the AI will move 1 division into it and you only need to take the 1 tile they just left to isolate them. Pin the neighboring division if they try to reinforce it.

@@applepieofdeath I regularly play Skynavia and while you can do this, you can also wait until you've annexed Vedinia and then two stacks of 24 militia + 6 communal militia to surround republic. I usually do one focus then attack republic and they still have the same kind of issues where they don't fully guard the border and you can exploit that. My playthroughs are much slower but also have a lot less casualties than your tactic. I have rarely of ever needed all adults serve as Skynavia.

@@ZephanyZephZeph That works too, but I also want to unite the North as fast as possible so I can possibly stop the current empire from reuniting. It's far from impossible to beat them if it's too late, but the sooner the herzlands are secured the sooner I can deal/build up against anyone else. Also one thing I realized I didn't show in editing well is that I did NOT go AAS. I did need SBR during the two imperial wars but the scene at 1:57 with the conscription management was me turning DOWN conscription. That AAS scene was of the River Federation (hence why they were on limited exports and not closed economy) to show it was time to start pushing in but I probably should've shown myself going to the intel ledger to clarify I was looking at them instead of me.

Kinda true, but I like the fact that despite this, they don't (in their proper path) have a generic totalitarian dictatoriship fate and actually stay a democracy. Hell, they're one of the few nations that don't even have a single national leader unless one suspends congress, but honestly at that point it's pretty much over.

I don't know what does Leopold have anything to do with this video. But anyway, I haven't been able to play Hoi4 in general for a few weeks, nor have I done Barrad since I made that meme so I'm going off memory. Also I usually play on Elite. Raiding, I just bully Ponaidhean with 6 divisions of 7-2s. With NSB you might want to adjust this and if your industry and military tech aren't hindered by the difficulty setting, you can consider raiding someone else. Research, you'll eventually lose Viira so consider finishing her tech before starting the reactor if you want. Army, in addition to the 6 divisions for raiding, I recruit another 6 when I have the stockpile. This is just in case the neighbors suddenly decide to go aggressive. Relationships, if you're not interested in keeping Silver Star or Asinti skip this part but I just have Leopold befriend Silver Star first. Eventually when their relationship is high enough, Sliver Star will unlock the ability to spend time with Leo for free, allowing Leo to focus on improving his relationship with Asinti. I don't bother improving the pentarchy's relationships with each other unless there is a risk of murder. Raiding resources, improve society and you can do the other things but remember to bank some for the Viira fight (really can't remember how much sorry). Titan fight, I didn't even know this was a thing so I can't help you there. Viira fight I believe I just stunned, standard attack, heal/skip turn if necessary (if it's Silver Star I just use his vampire ability if I recall). Rinse and repeat. Leo's ascension, The army will be converted into the better of the two 0 manpower clockworks only in the main battalions. However you still need a little bit of ponypower in the templates (besides garrison) in order to even deploy these divisions so add at least one support company. The game won't allow a 0 ponypower division to be deployed and if you try converting an existing division, it'll be incapable of gaining xp until something is added.I recommend AA, it's cheap, compensates for a lack of an air force, and still has soft and hard attack. Kasa, Austurland, and Gryphus should have enough of an army by this point to cover the line but not heavily. The same should apply to you but Leopold is OP as hell so just use him to encircle and kill. Manually justify to conquer faster and also if I remember correctly you can't finish the tree after a certain focus so if you want to finish the rest of the tree, this allows you to go to war and gain more factories in the process. Rush out divisions as needed, as long as the front is just covered it should be fine. This should be enough to secure your power for future ambitions.
