in english again...but thanks for helping the other i am just asking one thing as someone added kamikaze option with a mod is it possible to add mission for the navy for example search and destroy cause i would like to use only the submarine to destroy the fleet but don't know how to because it need to find them and chase them to engage the fight it doesn't have the possibility to just go on some specific ocean and try to find them and destroy them when we found them

I actually already learned most things you showed from the time I asked you. But I still enjoyed the part about the Missions and the flag and state location part. I actually mentioned your channel in my mod just because you have helped me so much with modding. Thank you very much!

Thank you, there are still numerous things to talk about when it comes to modding HOI4 and don't forget that new updates and DLC's open new modding options so the game and learning on how to mod it is a constantly evolving thing. What's this mod you made? Can you post a link?

Really helpful, more in depth than the old! I would like to see a tutorial on how to create naval technologies ( for example new ship types / hulls and custom modules). Keep up the great work :)

I need to stop the burn in my eyes first. It will happen but in general I am not enthusiastic as some seem to be. I was watching a stream by a hoi4 dev playing the mod who was complaining how he doesn't have time to read the biblical volumes of text the mod imposes of him (in general watching someone read text for 5 minutes isn't exciting streaming). I got more to say about it but a proper review will have to provide that.

Not to the vidio but, could you please make a tutorial about trade influence or explain it in the comments (how to change it with focuses, decisions or other ways)?

Trade influence is changed through a special opinion modifier, take a look in common/opinion_modifiers and just add the opinion via the proper effect and you can control trade opinion this way.

simply adding target_trigger = { FROM = { } } makes the whole decision disappear. why is that?

That is actually a bit complex and involves modding several features, not just focus trees.

So I was scratching my head over why my mission kept failing for a few hours, turns out I made a typo as simple as missing the second L in available. To anyone having trouble please double check your spelling and bracket placement

I wanted to name a decision but it seems to not work,i've checked everything : syntax error, file name, folder name but idk it always show the ID of the decision but not the name i put in the localisation

for anyone else who had an issue with not as all the states being given to the revolting side make sure that you are not giving away the current countries capital, as the capital cannot be transferred. you have to manually swap the capital to a different state by using "set_capital = "state id"

dumb question: my mission is not showing up on the "Decisions and Events" section, what could I have done wrong? EDIT: nevermind -_- I just needed to put the "categories" folder and the "decision_categories" files

Did I get that right, that paradox confused "success" and "failure" in the missions? If the timer for a mission runs out then it.... succeeds? If I fulfil the mission then it immediately... fails?

It depends on the available section, if you manage to fulfill what's in the available than the mission is a success but if not it fails.

Unless it's in the tutorial, which I haven't watched yet (I will delete this if it is in the tutorial), how do you make a decision as to where it gives you resources when selected. The same with research speed, where it makes researching faster.

if you still need it, you put this under whatever effect bracket you're using: annex_country = { target = GER #'GER' is just example, put the TAG of the country you wanna annex transfer_troops = yes #'yes' or 'no' if you want the divisions of the annexed country to be transfered to you } check hoi4.paradoxwikis.com/Commands for all the commands you can use

@@ivanblanco7403 Modifiers can only be added via national ideas/laws/advisors, so create an idea with the modifier you want (it can be a hidden idea) and apply the modifier to it. Then add the idea via the focus to the country (add_ideas = NAME_OF_IDEA).

I want to make a decision that allows whatever nation you feel like playing to get cores on its neighbors, how can I do this?

You would need to use a scope to target all neighbours of the country and then add it's core to their states. Check this page out: hoi4.paradoxwikis.com/Scopes And don't forget you can nest these one inside of the other so: every_neighbor_country = {every_owned_state = { add_core_of = TAG_OF_COUNTRY } }

Yes, the nation you are playing is always ROOT So you can just use add_core_of = ROOT

Really helpful this lessons but I have a question, How can I modify a national spirit/idea via multiply decisicions? For example one decisions gives +5% research speed and a second gives 5% war support

I don't expect an answer, but I have a sticking problem. The error log says that my Category ID is incorrect for activate it, but after verifying, again and gain, I can't get it right.
