Chaz and Bernard give us an acoustic take on the Tom Waits thought provoking classic. With: 4 String Banjo, double bass, acoustic guitar & a coconut being bashed with a hammer :-)
Where are you in Yorkshire? I had one of the most special adventures of my life there. I went to visit my Tio Jimi Claven-a Sufi Roma Deadhead, who was dying from liver cancer. I flew in, and went to Thornton-le-Dale, to say hello and goodbye to someone who was so special. I made it just in time too, 'cuz he died like 3 weeks later. I guess this is why I am asking about GD from Yorkshire-it would just be such a beautiful twist for my Tio Jimi 😀
Hello, sorry to hear your visit to Yorkshire was under sad circumstance. We live just outside York about 40 miles south of Thornton-le-Dale. Not listened to much GD, but who knows what the future may bring :-)
If I had to describe how many terrible Tom Waits covers I've heard in person or on here - you all would have flashbacks of similar shitty experiences. This is better than the original damn near. Great work whoever!
The closed captioning on this video isn't even close to the lyrics. Whoever is in charge of that should do a better job because there are people that use it. They deserve to understand the meaning of the content.
