Thanks, glad you found it useful ☺️ in my experience, a corrective insole is needed for over pronation, so while they have a removable insole, so you could put one in, they have no specific in-build technology to help overcome this 🤔 I’m not aware of any outdoors foot ware that is specifically built to help this ☺️ enjoy your outdoors time, Andy 🏔🏕🌀

HI Darren. I went up a 1/2 size, but not all people do. If you have a broad, higher volume foot, you might need to. Fits always a hard one as we have such different feet and ideas of what is a good fit! 🤔 Enjoy your outdoors time, Andy ⛰🏕

I would say not 🤔 they are lighter weight, so might not put up with the gear change etc- but I’m not sure tbh ☺️

I know I’m 5 months late but my friend shattered his foot and ankle falling from a roof a while back and he’s recovered to a certain extent now. He’s using Salomon quest 4D boots and says the ankle support is incredible

Hi Dyrell, my ultimate advice on all footwear is buy the size that fits! I am starting work on some vids about fitting and aftercare as it seems to be an area of some confusion, (which is understandable once you appreciate the history of outdoor boot production and how much it has changed in 20 years)- but I would say you need to try boots on with the socks you are most likely to ware 👍🏻 its a complex question that has a complex answer, but I would stand by the buy the size that fits as a maxim, (as all boots fit differently and manufacturers intemperate the size scales differently)- hope this helps ☺️ Enjoy your outdoors time, Andy ⛰🏕

Due to lockdowns etc I have used them as an urban boot- but I walk to work on pavements and have used them a fair amount- I would say they have put up with that use better than expected 🤔 so fair, given the sole type- but as a caveat I tend to do ok with sole ware, were some people just seem to destroy them 😉 I am generally very happy with their overall ware at present 👍🏻 Enjoy your outdoors time, Andy

Good question 👍🏻 I wore down the sole unit using them on pavements, (wore the back grip lugs off), which took about a year of reasonable use, which is about what I get from such light outdoors footwear- they still had some reasonable ware left though and the uppers looked fine, (but did then slip on mud when walking to climbing routes), so I cleaned them up and dropped them at a footwear bank so they could continue to be used by someone else 👍🏻 so they did ok 🤔☺️ enjoy your outdoors time, Andy 🏔🏕🌀

I had some Anacapas, got rid of them. Uppers were like paper, little support, no protection against rocks and tree roots. Yes, they are light weight, but I went back to leather boots.

Hi, thanks for your interest, but I fear you may have missed the point of the lining, its to make the boot water-proof. Otherwise, given the construction, it would leak very quickly, giving you wet feet in rain or walking terrain with evident ground moisture, (such as wet grass), or crossing water features such as streams. If you are in hot, dry terrain, gore, or any other membrane, is not needed and would, (depending on the footwear construction), reduce breathability and increase foot temperature, (given it is a windproof barrier as well). In the UK it rains a lot and the ground conditions are often wet, so waterproof construction is generally desirable, (I would generally make an exception here in running shoes, but this is primarily a walking boot). As for pushing up price, it adds around £10-15 on construction costs and given its reliable water proof nature and general durability and breathability I personally think it is work the price increases, (if you want waterproof boots of course). I agree with jp. Gore Tex does not dry well. I have Kahas. I would rather not have Gore Tex. Believe me this boot will not stay dry hiking through a wet meadow.
