Hoka cushioning is firm, not squishy like New Balance Fresh Foam or Asics FF Blast+. I was surprised that Hoka Challenger was getting such good reviews as versatile Road to Trail shoe. But it is quite firm, like Bondi. Meanwhile I think Clifton and Speedgoat are quite squishy. Still I would like to find out how good is Bondi L GTX or Bondi SR for casual running on wet roads.
