Great review! My perfect boot, too. After buying my first pair a year ago, the Vibram soles have started losing their grip (a good 1500 miles over rough terrain). When Hoka released a new version of the boot a few months ago, I bought a pair, thinking they would be much improved. However , they lack the ankle support of the original. So, now that the earlier version is being both discontinued and discounted at suppliers, I've bought two more pairs of the original version. Buy nice - buy thrice.
Hello. Tell me, kind person, does this model have a toe box? (Protective glass in the toes of boots), usually, trekking is installed. They are also positioned as trekking, hiking bots.
Thank you for watching it! It definitely is going to add like 1 inch to your height. At first I thought it was going to feel like walking in a platform shoe, but the way the sole is shaped makes its thickness unnoticeable.
so i somehow got a pair of these for half price. might be the best thing ive ever bought. i dont know why reviews have other hiking boots even in the same league as these for comfort. they redifine a 10 on comfort. its not right that other boots have a 10 on comfort they should be regraded to a 7 or an 8 when compared to these.
Hi! What is the temperature range for the materials used in the Hoka Kaha Mid Gtx? Interested in the operation of this model at sub-zero temperatures in Celsius. Will the rubber lose its characteristics in frost below -10 ° C?
So I’m not sure if it’s an American thing, or Southern thing, or just Louisiana thing, but there is a fan at the bottom of a refrigerator that blows warm air out (kind of like how a computer does when it gets hot). So when we would wash shoes they got lined up across the bottom of the refrigerator to have that warm air blow over them to dry.
Great review! Do you think that these would suit someone who overpronates? Also, have you worn the Sky Toa? I am interested in any comparisons that you have, thanks :)
So I’ll say that the sole is so wide that I don’t think you’ll be able to over pronate with them. If you did you would really have to work to do that because the heel extends beyond your foot on both sides. As far as the Sky Toa, I wouldn’t go with them because I like the sole sticking out behind my heel to give me that rolling motion. I’m sure it’s a great shoe though! Everything Hoka makes is fire.
Thank you for watching! I am a 10.5 in almost every shoe and I got these in that size. 10.5 is perfect for me. If anything I would say going down half a size would be a more snug fit but having that tiny bit of toe room makes going downhill easier on my toenails. Like getting my true size still leaves me with about a half inch gap between the end of my toe and the tip of my shoe. I do have a very narrow foot though and these are a wide shoe so that might explain the extra room I have.
The original Jaanuu scrub pants but I will say that the newer ones suck. I have emailed them multiple times about bringing the OG back and they haven’t. See if you can find a pair because they’re the best. Their material does not attract hair or anything like that either.
Yeah mine look soaked when I get them wet. I think it would work as long as they are really clean and dry when you apply it. I just get a soapy rag and wipe them down, then wipe them off with a plain wet rag to get the soap off and let them air dry. I think that water repellant spray is good for 15 days so I would just spray them the day before you go hike. .
Thanks for the quick reply. Do you know anything about the kaha 2 gtx? They look narrower than the original kaha 's, so didn't know if my wider foot would for them as easy. Thanks again
@@iGoldenBen ima be honest I wish you hadn’t shown me those 2.0s because I’m in love with them. I don’t need to be dropping more money but I might have to. They do look narrow on those stock photos but from what I’ve read about them it seems that they just have more cushion at the ankle and different sole at the heel. If I were you I would get them and just see. Worst case scenario is you have to send them back.
So I use that Kiwi nubok water repellent spray but I mostly just try and find drier ways to cross water. And keep rain pants just in case so I cover the boot opening.
