First impressions of my shiny new Hoka One One Speedgoat 4 trail shoes- thought I'd take them for a 20k ramble over a few bumps known as the Malvern Hills.
To add to the trail running mix was a 31C heatwave sweeping across the UK. Did well as a little detrained but would have bonked out if I wasn't saved by the Wyche Inn Pub.

Thanks and Yes I think I agree - the toe box needs a little more bit will see after 50 miles if there is some give. Enjoy my music choices! 👍👍

Thanks Dan you know the effort 🥵 like choosing the music 😍 yes during our English summer. Running in autumn weather now 💩 like your waterfall 🤣🤣

I thought I got lost a lot 😄 Fantastic run there, in some scorching temperatures. I'm surprised you only have 2 pairs of running shoes now. I thought everyone had to have a rotation and a different shoe for every day of the week! 😁👍🏻🏃‍♂️

Only run in 2 pairs now. Got a few others lurking about but not in my 2 shoe rotation 😂😂 maybe need to do some more reviews and they might send some my way 🤔

Great video, I also currently have both the Mafata and Speed-goat in my trail line up….I find the more rock the terrain has I go for the Speed Goat, only due to the Mafata loves eating the rocks and I end up carrying them along with me until I stop and prey them out. The tread on the Speed Goat has less opportunity for rocks to hitch a ride…Again great video and suck feast!!

I’ve just run 🏃‍♂️ 40 miles in the Speedgoat - muddy wet trails. I found the mud got properly clogged up in the tread. Very good just the toe box needs to be slightly wider for me I think. Pretty good shoe though. Mafate still my favourite.

Yes I will always create a route and upload a gpx file to my watch. I have a suunto 9 👌

Nice review and video, the SG never fit me quite right always issues after 15-18 miles. I have put them on many times with under 15 miles to go to finish an Ultra. I so want to love them but I just cant ever take them the distance.

Thank Dustin. Really good point on how long you can where them. Do you this the toe box shape? My mafate evo fit me well but have a high price point 😥
