I was an exchange student at Hokkaido University last summer. During my time I went to Shiraoi many time and visited Grandma's. It's so heart warming to see it featured here!

Interesting… this reminds me of my trip to the Sinnoh region when I was young. Sapporo looks identical to Jubilife city when I visited.

I've just discovered your videos, and am enjoying them immensely. My brother and nephew recently returned home to Canada (British Columbia, near Vancouver where the steam clock was from!) after their first amazing trip to Japan. I've sent them this video because they didn't get as far as Hakkaido. Next time, for sure!
