I love they incorporeted important scenes from the series into the super moves, like how Shin makes scars on Kenshiro, or Souther's spear finisher with the top of the pyramid on the opponent. I was so glad when I found out that ArcSys is also doing a DBZ fighter now, and as things look like, it seems they still know how to treat a source material with care.
I’m proud of how DBZ Fighterz turned out! It’s almost like you predicted how popular the DRAMATIC FINISH!!! moments would be. Especially in tournaments 😄
One of my favorite things about the game is how everyone has a retreating animation(backwalk) but because Ken I'm assuming never retreated once in the franchise, the devs had to just make him walk forward but in reverse.
Man, if fist of the north star ever got another anime adaptation I'd love to see Arc-Sys take another stab at a game not that there's anything wrong with this one, I'd just like to see how they'd do other characters. Mostly Shuu and Ryuga.
@Pyroniusburn and Jeremias Astorga: To my knowledge, this game has long since been adapted into a MUGEN fighting game very close to the Sega/Arc System Works arcade original, and other characters from the HNK franchise, like those that appear in HNK2 (the sequel series that has Bart and Lynn as young adults), have been made from the existing playable HNK characters.
I love that ken puts the timer on you That feels like a lot of time with how crazy this game can be too I also like that some of the supers have lore interactions
+Richterdgf Sadly, that is true. Although I love Southers Fatal KO. I love the screaming of the attack, the "Jumping from the top of the pyramid". Although Shuu's death scene should've really been the Fatal KO.
+ahmed sabah well for one you should be able to map them to whatever you want in the options, but even if you can't just press the buttons and find out, whichever button press gives you a fast punch is A , a slower punch B, Fast kick C, Slow kick D
I was hoping another fighting game would have something like this game's Fatal KO, where disrespectful troll music starts playing. Sort of like MKX's Brutalities
Most Arc System Works games these days have Fatal KO-like moves just like this one (Guilty Gear, Blazblue and Persona), it's not as easy to combo into them or even land them in a real match, but other than that it's just like this game
That's not just any music playing during the Fatal KO, though... The song is called Sentoo, and it's an instrumental version of the show's main theme, Ai Wo Torimodose. Sentoo was also frequently used throughout the show. Particularly when Kenshiro was kicking ass against a whole army of bad guys, or just using his Hundred Crack Fist on some boss.
Since they showed the one where Juda stabs himself with Reis hands, they forgot the one where Shin kills himself by throwing himself off his palace walls before Kenshiro can finish him.. I've seen it before unless it's in another game..
Rated R Sports Cards & Games No it’s the same game, I was actually surprised they put Rei’s character specific dialogues but no Shin suicide VS Kenshiro (or mysteriously throwing himself off the stage)
Shame the developers didn't include the tank as a joke character or any of the minor character that Kenshiro kills easily (except for the fat guy of course)
Los "supermoves" de los juegos de hoy son una burla, son vistosos pero no reducen en casi nada la barra de energía, recuerdo los primeros supermoves o técnicas de desesperacion o la "quinta", que realmente eran especiales y reducian la energía en un 60 a 75% la energía, como en art of fighting o fatal fury haya por los lejanos años 90...
ahora son todos cacas con el escalado tan agresivo, si le haces una super a alguien durante un combo la super hace menos daño y se va y va reduciendo como en fighter Z
Se nota que no jugaste casi ningun juego de pelea en años. Aparte, eso es porque estos juegos de pelea viejos era ROTISIMOS, que un solo súper saque DEMASIADO cantidad de vida es indicio de que el juego no tiene buen balance.
Damn, the Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken got super nerfed! Not only is it half kicks despite being called "Hundred Crack Fist" but it doesn't do the almighty *Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru*

I'm glad you shown all the alternative versions... still I was sure there was a special 'ending' for *Mamiya* with *Rei* 's face in the sky. Am I wrong? Also... Wasn't the _'suicide'_ a special move of *Shin* ? Really, maybe I'm confused, because I just paly this game years and years ago at the arcade.
This game is great. But we need a proper fighter with characters from both the first and second series. i mean a game having MR Heart but not Kaioh or Falco is basically a sin. If you don't like NHK 2 your an ass lol. Here is my list of all the characters that should be playable in a game like this. I'll even be including filler characters since other games in other franchises do. I will also be including characters from Raoh Gaiden and Rei Gaiden as well. Kenshiro , Raoh , Kaioh , Toki , Hyoh , Jagi , Falco , Rei , Mamiya , Adult Bato , Adult Rin , Ein , Juza , Ryuga , Rihaku , Fudo , Shin , Yuda , Han , Souther , Shu , Shachi , Akashachi , Baran , Colonel , Uighur , MR Heart , Joker , Jennifer , Ryuken , Koryu , Reina , Souga , Sakuya , Ryu , Yuu , Freeda , Rofu , Rinrei , Rema , Seiji , Sanga , Nameless Shura , Kiba Clan head , Amiba.
There are only 2 Problems with this game: 1. Only released for PS2 (but obivously a nitpick) 2. *THERE SO LESS CHARACTER THAN THE GAME NEEDS!* I mean, why there are no characters like Shuu, Hyoh, Kaioh and so on? I'm not saying that character list sucks or anything, but they could have made game much better with them.
