Holden/Chevrolet Cruze Climate Control Knob Removal 

Here is how to remove the temperature and fan knobs from a Chevy Cruze / Holden Cruze climate control, part 3870548.
The Barista didn't put the cap on my wife's hot chocolate properly and it ended up all over her and most of the front of the car upholstery and console. It got into every little gap as you can see from the video. I needed to open up the climate control and clean the chocolate off the circuit board with isopropyl alcohol to ensure the circuit board didn't corrode. The problem was the knobs prevented the board being removed and the knobs had no clear way of being removed. Google and RU-vid didn't appear to have a solution and so with some careful investigation, I present to you how I was able to remove the knobs in order to clean the unit.
