In this episode we're going back to 1972.
Peter Brock is an up and coming superstar in an underpowered car but his skill and determination, and the grooved slicks he nicked off Colin Bond will help him take on the big boys at the 1972 Hardie Ferodo 500 at Bathurst.
On a day more suited to the light and nimble Torana rather than the big and powerful Falcons, Brock will ride his luck and use his amazing car control skills to come out on top.
As others fall by the wayside by crashing or breaking down, Brock will powerslide his way to victory to the tunes of Struass. Trust me its awesome!!

Not sure mate but wet tyres weren't very common back then. Brocky had the one set of wets that HDT owned and Bond had grooved slicks...Apparently it only rained for 6 laps though, cannot confirm 100% but I read that somewhere.

How do you know what's in it if you only watched the start? Sorry you don't like it, I felt a bit creative one day and this is what I came up with. Plenty of others like it. Plenty of other videos on the channel that don't have classical music if you want to watch them. Have a good one. Craig.

The year the old red motor showed the V8 whose boss man.then the fords warmed up the four pots they beat everyone then come the rice burners.looking back they are slow.electric beat them all.

Not over 1000 k's. Electric would keep up for about 100 k's and then have to charge for 6 hours....

@@BorkenGarage Unless they used like 3 cars and just changed cars when the batteries got low formula E style instead of charging up. But where's the fun in that

@@BorkenGarage They used to at first, the newer gen of cars do complete the full race distance on one charge. But if you think that's dumb wait until you hear about the "fan boost" where the audience would vote on a poll to choose which driver will be given extra power compared to the rest of the grid during the race. Luckily this has also been scrapped, and even though I don't hate electric cars I still can't bring myself to watch electric cars racing.

@@Tryptamine999 Wow how very primary school. I've watched it for about 5 minutes but it was like watching a remote control car race without the stunts...which is kinda boring.
