I WOULD SAY that those compilation channels that take out clips from the pod have made me watch the full episodes from this channel. I was not subscribed to the podcast channel until short bits of each episodes would pop up on my recommended, so i wouldn't discourage them! Also such a sigh of relief you guys uploaded again, with all the talks of the podcast ending it's good to know the episodes are still coming!

@@summersantana00 It's a comedy variety show hosted by the very funny comedian Ziwe, which was spun off from her Instagram live series where she basically invited celebs on and interrogated them with uncomfortable questions about race, sexism, capitalism etc. She now does the same thing on her show but there's also comedy sketches and musical interludes etc. It airs on Showtime but you can find clips on youtube.

I really want to say that I do kind of understand the concept of trixie not liking that compilation videos exist because technically they own their content but I want to say it’s a way for fans to share their love of something and there’s a lot of benefits to it. Before i even knew who trixie and katya were i was recommended compilations videos of them on youtube and after watching tons of them i eventually went on to watch every episode of unhhh and now listen to every podcast ep. I don’t even watch drag race and didn’t have any interest in drag before. These videos are the reason i took interest and now go to local drag shows. i think compilation makers are important and deserve to make the little ad revenue they do for doing creators a service (that they probably started doing with no intention of making money anyway). Also you guys have made way more money off of me from their compilations than they have since I went on to watch your content everywhere. I understand feeling possessive of the content you produce but I feel like there’s a uniqueness to fans creating them rather than another wow channel doing it (also i really dislike youtube channels that publish multiple shows if I’m only interested in one.) It wouldn’t be the same to me.

A friend of a friend moved to Germany, medium-sized city. 6 months in, barely know anyone. She could not stand just taking to her husband, she needed more people in her life (pre-c19). So she did as Katya said, she went to the church and started making friends. She wasn't Christian or anything, she just went to the place people liked to hang out. That's actually a very good tip

I cannot tell you how much I love it when Trixie lists things, especially comfort items. When she lists the snack foods, she expresses so much enthusiasm you almost forget she is a vegetarian. She makes it all sound so good. The energy and mannerisms of Trixie, when on a podcast, always makes me feel as I’m sitting across from her while at a friend’s table.

trixie complaining about the compilations is so... I think capitalist barbie may be going too far. The compilations i've interacted with have been full of love for you two and an obvious presence of fans that clearly know your content outside of the video in the comments, and a few of them have hit a million+ now. There's also no guarantee that these videos will be monetized or remain monetized for many creators so how much are they actually making? Content farms aside, the fans aren't taking your audience or money in any meaningful way.

Nature abhors a vacuum. Between Unhhh, Netflix, and the podcast Trixie and Katya have enough post-RPDR content to produce weekly compilations of their most memorable moments at minimum. Idk there’s some really bad ones out there and when I watch a bad compilation it lower the exp for the actual content, so I think what’s proposed is like a sort of Netflix compilation thing where people who watch it and make the compilation are doing it for a regular paycheck and the creator would pay to have a source for their re-edited content that fans can reliably look to. You gotta see that the current model is just more archaic in comparison

RU-vid leaves a video you haven't watched in full on the spot you left off of and every time I return to this it's at the part Katya does the scream coughing and I go into a coughing laugh fit every time! I always love this episode, and Katyas yelling episode.

those clip channels are probably not monetized, youtube typically won't allow channels that primarily use re-used content to become monetized. They will stay up though, until the copyright owners (that's probably either you or Wow Presents) complain

Listen. I DESPISE podcasts, but the fan channels showing best of compilations got me to subscribe! I wasn't even big fans of either of them (didn't even remember them, tbh) until I saw a compilation video that had UHNnn clips... Went to find the videos, binged ALL of them in a day, and literally rewatched season 7 of drag race because I seriously didn't remember them! That led me to watch Allstars. Until then, Bianca was my all time favorite queen ever. I'm super disappointed... I thought Trixie loved her fans, but I think she just loves our money 😔. And damnit, I'm not 12, I'm 31 with a medical degree. Recognize the diversity of your fan base, woman. It's not naive to want stars to love (or at least pretend to love) their fans... Taylor Swift (not a personal fan but she came to mind first) is a great example. So is Bill Murray. Getting mad at a content creator with 50k subscribers making $100/mo on a video with 1/4 the amount of views as the original source IN THE SAME VIDEO in which you talk about being upset with 1. Having a safe, great paying job during the pandemic 2. Being sent beautiful free items by your employer 3. HAVING A CUSTOM COUCH MADE AND COMPLAINING ABOUT THE TIME IT TAKES TO MAKE IT.... And I also want to point out that this woman also charges $300 per person for a meet and greet. Lines out the door, people waiting for hours. She's paid in 45 SECONDS what it takes that hypothetical video to generate in 3 MONTHS. Money that will most likely go back to her anyways BECAUSE IT'S A FAN THAT MADE IT- They're probably saving up for tickets or merch! Honestly... Have some damn gratitude, and be humble. Remember where you came from, girl. I'm a rez girl that somehow amounted to something as well, but I remember the people that got me to where I am constantly because it was an arduous journey. And if someone ever adored me so much to make a video, it would make me feel loved, not angry and jealous.

I agree w u dont get me wrong, but drag queens often transform the content of a lipsync and add more to it whereas theres a looot of compilations that only cut and mash clips together

@@-lixiepixie- that's still technically transformative and totally fine, under copyright law. Which is why she is just complaining instead of taking legal action, bc she wouldn't have a leg to stand on. I love their content, but it is really upsetting to see her talk down about content that is put together because the people posting it are fans. It's lowley just stuck up. She is literally a millionaire. No cap. She will survive a few fan edits. She should be grateful for the plug, which a lot of these comp channels do direct viewers to them. And grateful that her fans enjoy the stuff she does enough to put work into piecing together clips from all over. She isn't losing the money from the videos those clips came from. And it's not like these compilations are competing or poaching. They aren't disrupting the market value of the original.
