Finally watching this music video after finding this song from Spotify's Smart Shuffle couple months ago, and it DEFINITELY matches the emotion of the song. 👏🏽👌🏽
They played their first show in the US in Ohio yesterday for the Ohio is for Lovers festival. Truly amazing! Their energy and stage presence is unmatched!
@@amycorrin3328 We drove up from St. Louis to go to the Ohio is for Lovers fest and we got there right as Holding Absence's set started. To say we were impressed is an understatement. We'd never heard of them before, but now I've been listening to them all week!
Me and my friend went to a concert for Amity Affliction and Silverstein and these guys opened, it was amazing, but the big thing for me was how fucking aggressive this drummer was. Such power, insane.
I lost my sister in a tragic accident almost 9 years ago now..it still hurts almost as bad as it did when I first heard the news. Songs like this one mean so much to me because whether its the intenion or not I cant help but relate it to how I feel about her now and what it feels like to carry her spirit on within me. Thank you Holding Absence. My heart and condolences go out to all and any who can relate. Hang in there. I love you
It's like Loathe and Holding Absence take turns releasing bangers each year. 'This Is as One' EP was in 2018, 'Holding Absence' in 2019, 'I Let It In and It Took Everything' in 2020, and now it's the 'Greatest Mistake of My Life' in 2021, they've been good to us-- and we desperately needed it.
drummer's going off like those drums owed him money. edit; bruh how did this get over 1k in likes. go listen to our music if you enjoy my mediocre comedy, ya nerds.
Lucas is such an amazing and talented lad. This band is one of the best in the melodic rock game. His voice just blows me away. Great song. Pumped for the album
This song speaks to me... 2 years ago my dog died and I've been depressed since but after listening to this song it brings me hope to be happy and not think about the bad things of life... Thank you SO much for making this beautiful song
I heard this song one day right after my only sibling passed away. I have jammed this song driving around in his truck singing along. It's comforted me quite a bit. ❤
I found that song by accident on Spotify and now I got that sound stuck in my ear, although I kept in my playlist for months and didn't listen to it as much. But damn its actually pretty good. Why is it giving 2000s?😅
@@SlashpLOder FFAF and Casey are great but sadly both broken up now and I haven't really liked what Bullet has been putting out recently, but to each their own.
Holy fuck I can’t remember the last time I heard a chorus this explosive and amazing, I seriously can’t get it out of my head and every single time I hear it I am just filled with so much energy
this song was actually super helpful for getting my sister into metal. she's ~5 years older than me and really only listened to generic-ish stuff that you'd hear on pop radio. this song led her to get into ERRA, Killswitch Engage, Northlane, Periphery, and even Deftones. still a long way to go until I can blast cryptopsy out loud and not have her question my sanity though.
This song is beautiful! And so well written. The lyrics hit different and brought a few tears. Much appreciated! This feels like an important song for me now.
Found these guys through a recent concert where I went to see The Amity Affliction and these guys struck me. I love them a lot. They sound even better live! His voice is absolutely beautiful live. Dude gave me goosebumps.
this chorus is SO CATCHY The vocals remind me of Architects tbh but I love this band now I heard this and I listened to their whole discography and I love it I'm hooked you guys gained a new fan
It's almost like Holding Absence time their releases to cheer me up when I'm sad and lonely 💛 absolute belter of a song lads, can't wait for the rest of the album!
I recently heard you guys and I’ve listened nonstop since. The drummer is freaking insane!!! His talent is rare and he puts thought into what he is doing...very rare for a drummer. Good luck going forward but I don’t think you guys will need luck. Keep the passion and all else will fall into place. -Forever a fan in the US
i got this song tattooed on my chest in the name of my best friend who took his own life a year ago. every time i hear this piece of art i always remember him.
I dig this tune, and oddly enough I get some old BMTH vibes from certain parts of the song (not saying they are copying because they certainly aren't) and I like it!
I just heard them live at The Wiltern while they were touring with UnityTX, Silverstein, and The Amity Afflictions, , was the first time I heard them and fell in love with their music. Glad I got introduced to them while they were on tour and found a new band to listen to!!!
Saw these guys in concert a few weeks ago and man did they deliver. Despite being an opener, they really stole the show for me with the energy they had. They knew how to work up a crowd, plus their music just had this special quality to it. I'm definitely a fan now!
