She seems to be the only one who wants to listen darkness doesn't have the social connection for him to open up and aqua would just mock him so megumin is really the only one who kazuma has built up enough of a social relationship with to talk about things like that and honestly she seems to be willing to stick with him despite everything it's kinda wholesome

@@spirittail4958I mean he's supposed to be like what, 15 and she's 14? Aqua is a literal goddess, and Darkness is a little older. She's the closest thing to a peer he has and they have pretty similar personalities when it comes down to it. Makes a lot of sense that they'd get closer. For how slapstick it is, this show is well written.

True. You'll have to read the LN on your own for more genuine emotional moments like this as the anime decided to focus largely on comedy.

The light novels do have a lot more emotion. The arc with the castle and princess was actually super stressfull and depressing for Kazuma in the novel because there was a looming threat of the kingdom hving Kazuma's team transfer to "more usefull" stuff and he was worried of being alone.

The movie was based on volume 5 of the novel. And the movie left out MANY romantic moments between Kazuma and Megumin. Hevk the first episode was supposed to happen on the way tp the Crimson Village. Also they spent a 3d night together where Kazuma tells Megu about Saint Valentine's day... and in the end Megumin says I LIKE YOU to Kazuma.... And all volume 6(s3) whenever theyre alone Kazuma thinks about that moment. But here they added this scene so it makes sense on why Kazuma will be nervous around her, other wise it would have been weird...

When a person who is not the owner of the relic uses it it acts like a "normal" item but there are some divine relics that are so powerful that they still work.
