@@ardyth like one of the cool cards you do with a partial image - hanging off the side. Another idea is you could add sprigs of greenery around the image here and there. And my fav idea is maybe a big lollipop! ❤️🥰

Have fun with the foiling - it's a really neat look!

@@ardyth I have foiled with a laminator and had great success with using the duo gel paste! So I never expected what happened with Gina’s fuse when I sat down to just crank out 5 toner backgrounds and 1 polyglaze! It was a disaster in every way! Even with her panel and her foil and carrier sheet! First it wasn’t set hot enough. Then I tried with a foiling shim and without. I tried parchment paper. You name it I tried it! I had like 5 panels that over foiled where the foil came off on the white area of the toner panel! What a mess! Foil, brush, rotary blade, panels, everywhere! Aaahhhhh! I kept going. Although I tried stopping 3 xs! LOL I finally tried the actual Decofoil brand instead of a generic foil from Ali and just the carrier sheet that came with it. That worked very well! Then I retried her polyglaze panel with her gold foil and the second time it turned out well. So I figured it out- I think! But it gave me a run for my money! Now sadly for me, I’ll need to buy a ton of Decofoil and just use the Ali foil when I use the paste. I’d really like to make a pretty wedding card for my son and his new wife after their wedding but the thing about foiling which I noticed right away, is there’s a horrific lack of dimension or texture! And I’m a big one for that! Die cuts, embossing folders, pastes. But I have it now so in time products will change and hopefully I will learn! lol out of about 10 tries I ended up with 4 panels and one I splattered with white acrylic paint which looks cool! Maybe I’ll get time to send you one! I did mail your Easter card last week! I hope it gets there! I used colored pencils if you read the long comments on my marker quest! Thanks Ardyth!

@@ardyth I have 2 thinking of you dies but you know what I’m dying to find? Is have a nice day or have a lovely day! I cannot figure out why that is missing in stamping or dies! It’s very rare. I have 1 stamp but I’ve never seen a die with that! I have so many hellos, thank yous, happy birthdays, I’m fighting myself really hard! lol I have quite a good collection of word dies! SBC has a set that’s done in a bold 70’s groovy style that I want next! It’s only $9.99! I KNOW you would just love it because it’s PERFECT for all the geometric cards you make! Look it up it’s their brand and called “thank you sentiments lll”. I promise you’ll love it! It’s that old hippy style font from the 60’s and 70’s! Super fun!

Hi Kathy! I have a group of ladies who have been purchasing my destash stuff for a while, so that part's easy. As for deciding, I try to be ruthless, put it in the box until it's time to send it out and then don't look or think about it while I'm packing it up. There's very few things that I re-claim once they're downstairs. I think I have a squirrel brain, I tend to forget about it once it's out of my craft room, and there's still plenty there to keep me occupied.. Very, very rarely have I really regretted getting rid of something. Mama Elphant script word dies come to mind. But compared to what I've gotten rid of, it was worth it.

I've heard good things about Ohuhu markers. Take a look at Erin Reed and/or Rebecca Keppel? Mary Polanco? Because I bought my Copics ages ago, I don't really keep up with the new brands.

I got Ohuhu honolulu B set 120 colors + 1 clear + 100 sheet alcohol marker cardstock pad for $105 in Dec 2022 direct online from Ohuhu. There was a first time buyer coupon for 20% off and free shipping near Christmas I think. The colors are very vibrant and a few are fluorescent. Copics are more muted because they were made for Japanese Manga initially. Some say the color labels don’t have a logical order, true. Anyway, quality wise, they are equivalent or better than Copics, if you like the very bright colors and don’t mind the somewhat illogical naming. You want the brush tip and a small bullet tip combo for card making. Chisel tips are way too big for card making in my opinion. I made a few beautiful flower bouquet cards, but they take a LONG time to blend well. I think it took a full day per card! Also this January, I got Zig Clean watercolor brushes. I tried the 24 color set first, then bought the new 30 warm tones and 30 cool tones sets. Amazon has the best price for these now. About $35 for 24 colors and $110 for both warm and cool sets. Many people find water brushes much easier to blend than alcohol markers. So maybe try these out first? You get maximum blend with watercolor paper cold press, which can get expensive. You can also use Bristol XL, which is mainly used by ink pen and alcohol marker artists, but you get a small amount of blend. You can use clear water brush to blend nearby colors. You can also use a plastic surface to rub out the water colors, then pick up with a clear water brush. Then you can blend any color before applying to paper. Anyway, Copics was a hard no for me due to its price. I have a few Copics sketchers which has a brush and chisel tip. I replaced the chisel with a small bullet tip. Nibs are expensive too. It’s much easier to find refill colors for Copics than Ohuhu, but they can actually be refilled with any brand, although colors won’t match exactly if you get a different brand. I have revived old Stampin Up Blends alcohol makers with dye ink refill drops and Ranger alcohol blending solution. There are many RU-vid videos on how to refill a alcohol marker. Any alcohol marker can be refilled with any brand alcohol refills or your own diy dye ink refill and blending solution. Happy crafting! 😊🎉❤

@@datasciyinfo5133 THANK YOU! WOW! That was a lot of information! I can tell you are far more experienced than I have been able to be! I also bought the Honolulu set B tips, I believe- the brush and small tip. I think we got the same pack actually. I think their quality is excellent! But everytime I needed a pink or a rose or a coral which are all very commonly used colors and needed for florals, I could never find one! The pinks are like highlighters! and there were no corals at all. i noticed there seemed to be a good amount of blues. the last straw when i finally boxed them up was when i needed to color a little bunny. i found the perfect warm grey but there wasnt another single marker i could use to blend it! so they have huge gaps in colors. i tried to ask about the pastels they have but i never did really get anywhere with that. i really think ohuhu could have a competitive marker if they filled these much needed color gaps! i did consider watercolor markers or even Tim Holtz watercolor pencils, but thats similar to using the prisma colored pencils for coloring in little bunnies or flowers. and im not skilled with actual watercoloring. i tried a floral bouquet once and kept adding more color until it kind of lost the watercolor efffect. How did you color the floral bouquet? Did you use the real brush markers? I have looked at those too. I can’t see how you’d have the colors to do it with ohuhu. I’ve thought about getting them back out but it’s just too frustrating when the things I want to color like florals or a bunny, there isn’t colors for. I thought I’d just use colored pencils and gamsol and since the bunny is small it looked great with the shading I did! But I can’t imagine coloring the big bouquet stamps I have with colored pencils. I really can’t understand why alcohol markers cost such a small fortune! I want to thank you for telling me you can use reinkers and blending solution to make markers! And they’ll blend? If I could buy just empty barrels and tips theoretically couldn’t I match all my inks doing that? I don’t mind spending $200 if I can get a good range of colors, I just don’t know how to do that? Since the ohuhu are so good, do you think I should just try adding more sets like the pastel and change the nibs to try to get more colors to fill the gaps? I can’t tell you how frustrated I truly am. I just want to buy a full set for $100-200 and be done. I even looked into the spectrum noir tri-blends but was confused on the 2 sets they had. But I’m afraid I’ll never have the money for a full set of those. They must be $1000 by now! Crazy! For now I just don’t use my floral bouquet stamps and use prisms colored pencils and gamsol. Which I think I do a well enough job at but it’s not for larger areas. You’ll see on your Easter card.

I put about 30 items together ship them in flat rate boxes. I started by advertising that I was destashing mystery boxes on my instagram channel, but now I have a list of ladies that I give first dibs to. I can't be bothered to try and sell things item by item and this seems to work well.
