Thanks as always brother, I need to hear these. "Defending Islam against Muslim" this is hard. Always attacked is heartbreaking and weary. Being religious or trying to practice religion brings a sincerity test. Are we to convince people that we are not thieves, liars, victims, opressed, pedophils etc. Can't we be just believers?

This almost brought me to tears. It gave a refreshing look on how religion should be viewed with regards to our lives. May Allaah preserve brother Nouman and continue to grant him immense wisdom. Allaahumma Amin.

To be a stranger under strangers is a rewardful challenge. We must unterstand that we have to hold on our religion or we lose ourselves. The real success is to follow the rules of Allah s.w.t. only because of the mercy of Allah we are successful in this world and after live Inshaallah.

brother i swear to god i noticed this so much ! iam muslim and live in a msulim community (algeria) and i swear i talked with a friend 3 days ago about this topic ! this friend is someone who made tawbah , and i didnt see him for 2 years and was so happy he returned to allah , but most of our friends thought it was weird ! bro they even thought he got depressed or someone did magic on him , we found it hilarious sobhanlah these times , may allah grant us jannah and bring us close to him

Amazing khutbah that reminds us to check the foundation of our Eman/ belief. Unfortunately many of us who were raised Muslim by Muslim parents are following Islam because it’s the way of our forefathers. Notice the people who follow the ways of their forefathers are criticised by Allah in the Quran! This is literally what I am currently dealing with. And I live in a Muslim Majority country. The struggle is real.

I´m a recent convert from Latin America. The last few months I was at my lowest point of faith, and then I began to notice that being an outsider began to affect me a lot. I'm trying to keep that fuse from going out. Your speech was a powerful reminder to do so.

Again an important and beneficial lecture from the Ustadh. He pointed upon the importance of strengh of belief through the challenges of modern society. This is a wonderful argument and truth itself. However the question is how to strenghten the belief. He states that Our Book has the ultimate power to strenghten our belief. That is again a delicate point. Brothers, sisters... in line of this statement, in Turkey we have a commentary (tafseer) of Qur'an, adresses the problem of intellectual challenges against the belief and offers logical arguments derived from the Quran. By this way it strenghtens our iman and many youth in Turkey can witness this effect. So I also advice you brothers and sisters to check the tafseer: Risale i Nur collection written by Bediuzzaman Said Nursi. May Allah protect our belief in these tough times. Maesselam from Turkey.

Do you think Allah's anger is on this Ummah for not having an offical Kalifa, accepted by the entire Ummah? Can we be in the deen without one?. Would the United States be a functioning government without one. In fact, the fourth Caliph of Islam made his offspring the caliphate, making it nepotism rather than democracy. It is our duty to elect an offical caliph. There is a hadith: Abdur-Rahmān ibn Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "O ‘Abdur-Rahmān ibn Samurah, do not ask for a position of authority, for if you were granted such authority upon your request, you would be left (to manage it) unaided. However, if you were granted such authority without requesting it, you would be provided with aid (to manage it). If you ever make an oath but then found a better alternative, expiate your oath and go for the better alternative." I feel like right now the two most popular speakers are Mufti Mink or Nouman ali Khan and would therefore be the best candidates for an Islamic Caliph election, or someone they reccommend because it is who they look to (other than Koran and Sunnah and Allah (swt). We already look to them for opinion and Knowledge and it would be better to have them even as a figure head with no real power than to not have a Caliph at all. I am going to post this on many lectures to see if we can get the Ummah to elect an official caliph. Even if it does not bring great change to the deen, it will at least put us on track to have the Deen in proper order. Peace be on everyone!

Al-Baqarah 2:256 لَاۤ اِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّيْنِ ۟ۙ قَدْ تَّبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ ۚ فَمَنْ يَّكْفُرْ بِالطَّاغُوْتِ وَيُؤْمِنْۢ بِاللّٰهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقٰي لَا انْفِصَامَ لَهَا ؕ وَاللّٰهُ سَمِيْعٌ عَلِيْمٌ There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become distinct from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in ṭāghūt[1] and believes in Allāh has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allāh is Hearing and Knowing. دین کے بارے میں کوئی زبردستی نہیں، ہدایت ضلالت سے روشن ہوچکی ہے[1] ، اس لئے جو شخص اللہ تعالیٰ کے سوا دوسرے معبودوں کا انکار کرکے اللہ تعالیٰ پر ایمان ﻻئے اس نے مضبوط کڑے کو تھام لیا، جو کبھی نہ ٹوٹے گا اور اللہ تعالیٰ سننے واﻻ، جاننے واﻻ ہے۔ ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Al-Baqarah 2:257 اَللّٰهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا ۙ يُخْرِجُهُمْ مِّنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ اِلَي النُّوْرِ ؕ وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْۤا اَوْلِيٰٓـُٔهُمُ الطَّاغُوْتُ ۙ يُخْرِجُوْنَهُمْ مِّنَ النُّوْرِ اِلَي الظُّلُمٰتِ ؕ اُولٰٓئِكَ اَصْحٰبُ النَّارِ ۚ هُمْ فِيْهَا خٰلِدُوْنَ Allāh is the Ally[1] of those who believe. He brings them out from darknesses into the light. And those who disbelieve - their allies are ṭāghūt. They take them out of the light into darknesses.[2] Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein. ایمان ﻻنے والوں کا کارساز اللہ تعالیٰ خود ہے، وه انہیں اندھیروں سے روشنی کی طرف نکال لے جاتا ہے اور کافروں کے اولیاء شیاطین ہیں۔ وه انہیں روشنی سے نکال کر اندھیروں کی طرف لے جاتے ہیں، یہ لوگ جہنمی ہیں جو ہمیشہ اسی میں پڑے رہیں گے۔

At my job we had a conference where I had to promote happy hour. I politely declined. When I asked why, I said because of my religion. No shame in it of course, But it’s annoying to have to tell your colleagues and supervisors certain things about your values. It’s not their business at the end of the day. But this is the world we live in now.
